Terrified Peruvian villagers claim they are under attack from 7ft-tall 'aliens' dubbed 'Face Peelers' as they plead with authorities to send backup

Members of the Ikitu tribe from the San Antonio native community have reported mysterious figures in dark-coloured hoods attacking the villagers, who live in the rural district of Alto Nanay, north east of Lima, Peru.

After one such 'attack', a 15-year-old girl had to be taken to hospital.

Yes, there is something going on but I seriously doubt these creatures are et, and I even wonder if the whole story is one big ruse. It's conceivable.

Hope we get follow ups in this story, seems like the villagers have had this issue for awhile and even tried injuring/killing one of the 'aliens' to no effect. That really stands out to me, those guys know how to hunt, it's information and skills passed down from generation to generation and kids learn it from early on. Their lives depend on good hunters and so their hunters know how to kill effectively, they know to try and aim for the heart and lungs, maybe head depending on the prey. For them to know they hit the alien with killing shots and it just walked (or hovered) away back into the darkness is interesting. 

My best guess is land owners who want to take the land from the locals to turn it into farms or do mining or chop down rare trees, rather than murder the locals which would get armed cops there they maybe hire thugs to dress up, probably wearing body armour and also using night vision. 

That still does not explain the hovering, so I also think drones are being used and the story has got mixed up, the locals may have seen odd looking drones for the first time along with people in costumes and among all the the panic the two separate things have been blurred into one.

Ok then, you honestly think there are aliens (7 foot tall ones) attacking this village? They call them face peelers but where's the evidence? Where's the proof? Where' the beef?

Well evidence would be the reports from the eye witnesses, as for proof, there is none.

Yes! Very much could be this, the range on some of them bigger drones is impressive so could be some teenagers being d!ckheads. Certainly explains the reports of the the 'aliens' hovering, and if shot in the body with an arrow it would just pass through the material. Remote villages won't have internet or cell coverage so will likely have no idea about drones and pranks like you mention.
