Peruvian villagers claim they are under attack from 7ft-tall 'aliens' dubbed 'Face Peelers'

Well evidence would be the reports from the eye witnesses, as for proof, there is none.

A version of evidence sure, but extremely weak and requires more/additional data for certain. So, nothing outside of stories though? Shocking.

I didn't say I believed it. I said that a lot indigenous cultures report weird stuff and they get laughed off and brushed aside instead of investigating and looking for some sort of explanation.

This could be mass hysteria, for example. But if something is going on and theyre humans I think it's worth looking into.

Reports of 'seven-foot-tall aliens' terrorizing villagers in Peru stunned the world this week, with local leaders describing the 'armored' and 'floating' menaces as impervious to bullets.

The locals also compared their attackers to 'green goblins' and local Peruvian superstitions about 'los Pelacaras,' ('the Face Peelers') ― but now Peruvian law enforcement has offered a new suspect.

Illegal gold-mining crime syndicates, they said, are to blame: branches of the storied drug cartels like Brazil's 'O Primeiro Comando da Capital,' Colombia's 'Clan del Golfo,' FARC, and others who have ravaged Latin America for decades.

See. This is a great theory!

All the people above who were laughing this off and saying it wasn't worth investigating are ridiculous.

You gain evidence by investigating, not, by some miracle, having it all in front of you before you start.

But yeah, that sounds like a very plausible explanation and crime syndicates have used tall tales to scare locals before throughout the world.

Discussion between aliens arriving to earth:

"What shall we do on this planet?"

"Let's find a small village, and then harass the villagers every night!"

What can I say?  Adult Aliens obey the Prime Directive.  Its those pesky teenage extraterrestrial delinquents who like tormenting barely sentient species who are the problem.

Holy crap, this sounds interesting if even a small amount of the story is true. I wonder if something will come out of this.

Also, the theory with the cartel and jetpacks is crazy. I don't buy it though. Cartel's don't need the dark for doing whatever they want to do.

That got me thinking, why do the aliens need the dark?

So many questions...

Yeah sure, but what about the jetpacks? Also, what is the motive?

It could be anything but it’s definitely something more than hysteria. Why hasn’t the Peruvian government dispatched the police and military to get to the bottom of this?

If aliens ever do decide to invade, they’ll likely try to look like we do, not some scary Halloween stuff.

Still, just to be safe, no Peruvian travel for me, until the goblins are long gone.
