Is this the end of Yevgeny Prigozhin?

Initial reports from Russian sources are stating that 8 (not 10, yet) bodies have been recovered at the crash site. No word if Priggy was one of those 8.

Counter tactics, put his name on one plane list but get on the other?

The other has been reported flying zig zags through the sky (to avoid a radar lock?) and has landed in Moscow.

Difficult to state either way. Vladdy is KGB agent at heart so this could be a form of COINTEL. Then again he did get p***ed with Priggy embarrassing him.

Vlad will be killed by wolves.

He's doing his best right now to save face. There are whispers and he could be targeted very soon.

The Russian word for "wolf" is "volk".

But, maybe he had a window seat?

He refused refreshments, bagged an aisle seat- they had no choice but to blow the whole thing up.

He decided he didn`t want any Dioxin or Polonium tea.

He wouldn`t even touch the handle in case it had Novichok on lol.

I saw a claim yesterday, that he was in Africa with his troops.  If he's gone, good riddance.  Hope Vlad follows him, soon.

From NewsThump:

Yevegny Prighozin regretting joining Kremlin air miles scheme

 by Davywavy1 hour ago

Vladimir Putin’s air miles scheme is seeing unprecedented cancellations this evening after members suddenly realised the poor quality of service.

The scheme, which rewards people close to the Russian president, offers free air travel either through a high window or into the path of a ground to air missile.

Mercenary commander Yevegny Prighozin, who until recently was an enthusiastic member of the scheme, told us, “I should have read the small print that said I might unexpectedly find myself plummeting to earth from a great height surrounded by the burning wreckage of my private jet.

“I feel very silly having just clicked ‘accept’ on the terms and conditions, which warned of sudden termination.

“I thought that referred to the scheme, not myself.”

Members of the Russian Air Force are also understood to be withdrawing from the scheme, mostly by flying to Ukraine and begging for mercy.

Whoever takes Putin's place will be nervous and unsure, maybe a little jumpy and dangerous..  He will have to consolidate his position in Russia and the world.

True, and there's no guarantee that person will be any less brutal.

You are very right  about that.  I hope it will be better for Russian citizens, but it may not be any benefit to the rest of the world.

All the reports I see day 10 people were onboard and all were killed. Supposedly a video of Prigozhin talking that was done on Monday.

Prigozhin, Wagner Group chief, was in a plane crash north of Moscow, according to Russian State media (nbcnews.com)

I won't believe anything coming out of the media.  TBH, I don't care one way or another.  If he's dead, he certainly earned the privilege.

Possibly shot down?

Wagner Releases Video of Plane Crash That Reportedly Killed Prigozhin (msn.com)

Newsweek reached out to Russian President Vladimir Putin's press office by email for comment. The Grey Zone shared a picture of the jet and several videos on Telegram Wednesday afternoon, adding that the plane disappeared from radar shortly before it crashed.

The videos depicted different stages of the crash, with one showing the plane plummeting through the sky followed by a smoke trail. The people videoing the tragedy screamed in shock as the plane gained speed while dropping through the sky before it disappeared from view behind a line of trees. The plane appeared to be missing a wing as it fell through the sky.

Another video showed the plane on the ground as smoke billowed from the flaming wreckage. Several photos also showed the ruined plane still burning after the crash.

The Embraer Legacy 600 business jet with registration number RA-02795, which belonged to Yevgeny Prigozhin, was shot down by air defense fire of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Bologovsky district of the Tver region," an English translation of The Grey Zone's post read.

Newsweek cannot independently verify whether Prigozhin was on the plane, and whether it was shot down by Russian military forces.

Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, reposted a video on X, formerly Twitter, that depicted the plane falling through the sky. Eyewitnesses reported two explosions that resembled missiles firing before the plane crashed, according to the post. Video in link.

That is a problem. Putin supported the Wagner Group, who use torture and terrorism as military tactics, as that is official Russian foreign policy. It is difficult to imagine a more benign regime could emerge, unless Ukraine backed by NATO give them a severe lesson in democracy.

ABC World News Tonight showed pictures of the wreckage that had puncture holes in it, like a missile hit. The man being interviewed said a bomb blast would have pushed outwards. Can't find link online but I think we're going to hear more about this and probably soon. David Muir is a pretty accurate reporter. They were saying that Western intelligence already knows.

Apparently, the leadership of Wagner was also on the plane. Hopefully, this is the end of Wagner or there may be an internal power struggle that will destroy the organization.
