Brexit win as British businesses 'thriving' 100 days after Australia trade deal | Politics | News | Express.co.uk

Even Express readers don't fall for this. Top reader's comment:

Sozyë Ltd is described by the DE as a 'thriving business'.
Its [micro company] accounts show negative net assets of £5000.
The comany's 3 product lines are sold via amazon. None of them are currently available.
The company's three products have less than 10 reviews each.
.
Is this what a 'thriving business' looks like in Brexie land?

Second best comment:

The company's three products have less than 10 reviews each.

Grant Shapps been busy again ?

Glad to hear things are turning up over there, it's been a chaotic turn these last few years.

Hope the trend continues...

Where is the casual link between a small trader on Amazon doing poorly and Brexit?

The Express likes to publish stories showing how Brexit has benefited British business. This is one of them. How dare you suggest it is a small trader doing poorly on Amazon! This is the Great Australia Trade Deal in action!

International Trade Minister Nigel Huddleston said: “It’s fantastic to see that innovative businesses like Creative Nature and Sozyë are already thriving under our landmark deal with Australia.

“This is just the beginning of a new era of opportunity for British businesses as we use our status as an independent trading nation to deliver an ambitious programme of trade deals with countries all around the world.”

One wouldn`t want to make the accusation of cherry picking to form a narrative but plenty of traders on Amazon discover no one wants their trash.

Whats it got to do with how a country is performing?

Well. … it doesn’t look good when the propagandists hold up a company “as a success” when other easily measured metrics of success don’t show success. It’s a touch of “there are not tanks in Bagdad!”

Don't you understand that David Maddox (editor of the Express) is a rabid Brexit supporter? He is cherry picking the best of the Brexit success stories, which you quite rightly describe as trash. Here's another reader comment, showing they are not as stupid as he thinks they are:

Most die hard Brexiters are aging, educationally challenged highly indoctrinated members of a Cult who have not had an original thought since their messiah St Nigel of Fromage and his acolyte Boris "would I lie to you" Johnson started their program of indoctrination in 2016

God this narrative is so boring now. You keep trying to convince everyone that'll listen that Brexit is a disaster but what are you actually comparing with. If we were still in are honestly speculating that this country would be all wine and roses with a booming economy...what, like Germany? or we would have less immigration...what like France. I'd suggest we'd be worse off on both counts. Everything you allude to if we had stayed in the EU is pure speculation on your part and on the part of all those anti Brexit journalists you keep quoting.

I didn't write that, it is a reader comment in the Express! The Express being the champion of Brexit! If you look at the article I quoted in the OP, you'll see all the comments. It's Brexiters belittling Brexiters, nothing to do with Remoaners.

7 years ago. Being a democracy, we have General Elections at least every 5 years. It is about time we respected the Will of the People:
