We are the Aliens

I woke up thinking that their actually could be Aliens visiting Earth...and that perhaps, we are them.  

According to Einstein's Theory of Relativity...at the speed of light there is no time.  If you could go faster than the speed of light, then you could in effect time travel in both directions forward and backward.  

According to what we know of Cosmic Expansion, the Universe is expanding faster than the speed of light.  

According to most physicists, the Universe is composed of about 68% dark matter. And we don't really understand what that actually is.

So, in a nut shell:

If we did figure out what dark energy is.  If we did figure out how to 'tap into' that dark energy.  If we could essentially 'ride' the expansion...Then, theoretically we could not only travel at the speed of light but at the speed of expansion which is faster than the speed of light. Technically the effect  would be, essentially, immortality.  Because there is no time to experience at the speed of light.  

This would allow for perhaps 'us' in a distant star system...to explore the galaxy and find Earth.  A suitable place to restore some of our resources...except for the Giant Lizard population.  So we push an asteroid into Earth to annihilate the Lizards.  66 million years later we return to find a marvelous planet for resource capabilities.  So we colonize the planet...and come back a few hundred thousand years later for an update and find that the colony has broken the directive and has begun mating with other Earth creatures. Flash forward to now.......................................

.......................We have been watching ourselves for thousands of years...monitoring the civilizations as they develop.  We are here now...monitoring our own civilizations that we started thousands of years ago.  The Aliens are not extra-terrestrials.  They are us!  We are them.  A Lost Civilization of the Aliens that put us here.  This gave rise to the belief in all kinds of Gods as they would appear and try to bring us back into the fold.  The idea of life after death is the lost knowledge of our own immortality, which we lost...because we mated with the creatures of Earth.

Strange ideas, no doubt from listening to an endless loop of sleep sounds after watching the movie Arrival.

I like the open mindedness joc  I think you might be onto something… (or on something;)      I too often have interesting/unusual  thoughts/ideas just as I’m waking up.     I often can’t help thinking there is something completely fundamental that we don’t consciously understand about the (here&now) nature of reality.        O
