A stressful time for Russell Brand

He's just released his first response to the allegations. Not to respond to them, but to rant about the deep state and conspiracies. His whole bull**** is just saying 'question everything' and he uses it to undermine things without providing any actual evidence. His audience feels like they're very clever because they can't be tricked by the mainstream media, and yet he's tricking them into believing there's some kind of conspiracy against him.

Yes, he should have used the Huw Edwards trick.... mental health issues. Pretending to be the victim when you're caught out always seems to work on the gullible.

Innocent until proven guilty, but it is looking doubtful as the allegations mount.

I don't know what happened or is happening with Huw Edwards, but if the deep state and internationalists have been forcing Russell Brand to get his willy out and wave it at women, and making him make lewd comments, then I can see why he is feeling aggrieved.

Well, Huw is a BBC lovey so he'll get a free pass even though he's a nonce, but then it's practically a pre-requisite for working for the BBC.

I dont have a problem with him being dirty but getting his willy out is flashing and a criminal offence. Rape is even more severe. Ripping tights and using his hands to hold open the mouth of a woman before forcing her to swallow is too. This guy needs 20 years.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt to begin with but the more that come out the woodwork the harder it is to say innocent before guilty. He was even a friend of Jimmy Saville. Disgusting.

Alyte (aka Legal Bytes) is a lawyer and social commentator, and has weighed in with a solid, impartial and practical look at what we know so far. Worth a listen if you have a spare 25 minutes, and have any interest in the social or legal impacts of what has been happening in this case

Thanks for posting this, PA. Unusually for me, I listened to it all (I'm repairing a model plane, so have the time).

I agree with all she has said, and she is intelligent and thoughtful. The extent of his (alleged) criminality will now probably be tested in a court of law. What I am suspicious of, is his initial defence which is that he is subject to a witch-hunt by the MSM because he is 'anti-establishment'. He's just a fringe-nutter, like Mike (concrete grows) Graham, Katie Hopkins, and the presenters on GBNews - riding the populist wave as it makes him money. He's not a danger, like Farage, because he actually advises his followers not to vote. He's too light weight to be taken seriously, and he is a victim of his own success in stirring up controversy- he's now just another story, and a better one than the ones he has created in the past. He's also not as clever as he pretends he is- he uses long words and convoluted sentences which are often conflations of original statements - for example in his initial YT response he called "Trusted News Initiative" an acronym. Obviously, the fact that he uses words he doesn't understand doesn't necessarily undermine his arguments, but it makes it hard to know exactly what he is trying to say. Perhaps he realises that if he used plain English, it would sound facile.

We laughed about Jimmy Carr earlier @pellinore lol

Is it him out off the comedy Countdown show: https://news.sky.com/story/katherine-ryan-comedian-says-dangerous-male-co-star-did-not-react-when-she-called-him-out-12974114

Wow! This is getting funnier than the comedy shows themselves! I listened to Desert Island Discs this morning and assumed she meant Brand, but this is cracking stuff! Lol! Carr made a joke about how you know your girlfriend is too young for you (it involved airplanes). This may come back to haunt him. I like Katherine Ryan.

She hasn`t named him yet, we don`t know which one it is, but I suspect there is a 100% chance the offender is in this picture:

image.png.ca379ea01e943a114620ae2a3c306376.png

Jimmy Carr and Katherine Ryan were also co-hosts of Your Face or Mine. I checked the wording of the news stories to see if they slip up anywhere but there is literally nothing to indicate if its one of these two fellas. Jimmy has had allegations made about him before:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/jimmy-carr-hostesses-presidents-club-dorchester-hotel-latest-a8182631.html

It will be funny, shocking, and disgusting at the same time if it turns out Jimmy hasn`t actually been telling jokes all these years when doing a stand up!

If he has just looked at women, he should sue the police for opening these investigations. It is a form of harassment and already damaged his earnings potential.

Russell Brand is facing a second criminal investigation in connection to allegations of harassment and stalking.

The 48-year-old comedian and actor has been accused of rape, assault and emotional abuse between 2006 and 2013, when he was at the height of his fame working for the BBC and Channel 4 and starring in Hollywood films. He denies the allegations.

On Monday, it emerged Thames Valley police were investigating claims made by a woman who contacted the force two weeks ago with “new information” about “harassment and stalking”. Brand lives in Oxfordshire, within the Thames Valley catchment.

I never liked Russell Brand, he wasn't funny to me but I'm talking about stuff like this

It seems you seem to revel in this stuff, now Carr. Just remember when you looked up that girl's dress when you were in kindergarten? The ME TOO mob are coming for you soon. I don't find anything funny or entertaining about sexual assault, it ruins everyone's lives.

I revel in the stalkers and molesters being brought out of the woodwork. MeToo would find I am completely innocent. I have zero sympathy with stalkers, incels, "handsy" men, up-skirters, or any other men abusing their power to harass women, and I'm not ashamed to say so. If they are concerned about their behaviour being made public, it suggests they knew they were being abusive. Btw, it doesn't sound like it is Carr, as Katherine has been quoted as saying she found Jo Brand an "acceptable person called Brand". (random, but I worked with Jo Brand a long time ago).

That's what I'm talking about, once it's been mentioned as in Carr, it sticks like s--- to a blanket and doesn't go away. Anyone can say anything and the men, guilty or not are the ultimate losers.

There is another aspect to this. When I was younger it was common for pop & rock musicians to have young girls hanging around dressing rooms in the hope of 'being picked' they were called 'groupies'....they knew why they were there. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there wasn't a similar sort of following for people like Brand. However if those are the types of women that are coming forward 20 years later, you have to wonder what the real motivation is, rape victims don't usually wait 20 years to report a rape & they usually contact the police first.

There is a lot of truth in this. But... if you have power because you are a famous musician, you don't have to take advantage of it. And also, if lots of girls are throwing themselves at you, there is even less excuse for forcing your attentions on someone who isn't throwing themselves at you. And with regard to waiting 20 years and the police- we know the police have dismissed cases out of hand, and also it takes courage to speak out. Even Katherine Ryan, who is pretty, pretty powerful, pretty rich and pretty influential, is waiting- speak out at the wrong moment and you can be discredited and lose your career. And then they get away with it.

If Russell Brand really used to get his todger out and wave it around for effect, he should face up to the consequences. I'm not a prude, but I don't want to see people's genitals displayed in public just for some laddish joke. Apart from anything else, it is childish.

Rape and sexual assault statistics are scary.

1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted.

Over 67,000 rapes or sexual assaults were reported to the police in 2022, just 1276 resulted in charges.  That’s not convictions, that is just charges.

https://rapecrisis.org.uk/get-informed/statistics-sexual-violence/

Its no wonder women don’t come forward, and why predators are able to continue to operate unchecked, until years later one victim comes forward and others then find the courage to come forward.

It is incorrect to say that rape victims don’t normally wait 20 years, many victims don’t come forward at all.

You could imagine how many go unreported.

I am going to be completely honest and open.

Back in my nightclubbing days I knew one guy who did up skirting. He even showed us one of the photos in the pub, white knickers with a skid mark showing through them. She didn`t know and back then none of us thought to tell her what he had done or that he was going around showing people. I remember one nightclub that had two floors. The upper floor and a glass dance floor and you would quite literally see dozens of men on the floor below looking up, up their skirts.

As a man I have in total had about five women trying to undress me in pubs and nightclubs without permission. I didn`t mind like, they were pretty. But its besides the point, I didn`t give consent. I have even be startled in the toilets as I realised someone to my right was looking at my manhood. Thats right, a mates sister had followed me into the gents to get an eyeful. Perverted women. I didn`t mind like, she was pretty. But its besides the point, if Jimmy or Russell did that they would be locked up.

At work I have had my butt groped by women, and worryingly even a guy which freaked me out. With the women I didn`t mind like, they were pretty. The man doing it, if he hadn`t walked away I would have been up on assault charges. I have been propositioned in a past work many years ago as a salesman. A saleswoman offered to sit on my ...... if I helped her get a sale. Of course I helped, she was pretty, I didn`t mind. Okay I guess that one is consent.

I have worked in an office where people have gotten their manhoods out before. Yep thats right, right in from of managers, business owners, and there was a ruler used too for measuring them. Pure filth. Very funny, but this is the world we live in. Or at least the UK needs a severe culture change.

The rape of the 16 year old allegation is 100% fake.

Media are miss reporting it, and its out there so you can see what is actually in the allegation. She consented to sex with a condom. She went to the police and rape centre because when he had finished she discovered he didn`t use one. The text messages are apologising for that not for rape.

Thats a grey area, I`m not satisfied its rape. Its some kind of violation but I`m not sure what.
