Expedition Bigfoot Season 4

Is anyone following the series?  Is anyone watching the current series?

I will admit, that I have followed it, am following it, but I am so rapidly losing faith, trust, and belief in this show on such a high level.  In the beginning, I wanted to believe, because I thought they were doing it right, and had great gear….but now, I’m not so sure and I’ll tell you why.  But first, I would like to ask a question.

Do you think it is possible to fake photographic images from a thermal camera for entertainment purposes on television?

Ok.  So, now I’ll tell you what I think is wrong with the show.  They are dumb enough to think that a bigfoot could uproot a full grown tree and bury it upside down in the ground.

Having said that, the eyewitness they had on their current episode, did seem very similar to the experience I had when researching this phenomenon so many years ago.  Everything he said is what I experienced but we also found the tracks the next day.  Anyway, he said it sounded like a lion roaring in a way and the sound went through his body like that and he was paralyzed with fear momentarily.  That is what happened to me.  Now, a mountain lion does not make that sound, so it’s not a North American lion….aka the mountain lion, or puma.

I'm fairly certain that those 'images" can be, and most likely were, faked. I don't have the background in TV production, but the show appears to have a substantial production budget. Who's to say that some of the money isn't allocated for things like CGI work to create images and such. It's a show for entertainment purposes regardless of how sincere or polished the show and cast appear.

Yes....I would say it would have to be CGI manipulating those images if they are faked because of the way that thermal imaging cameras record heat.  It would take a lot of work to set up and image something in the woods that had the heat signature of a living animal, unless they could just find a really big person to stand in for the images they have captured.

Having said that, I was first impressed by images captured on thermal cameras way back in the 90's with a show from Oregon Bigfoot's Autumn Williams.  That is when CGI began to become used.....so, IDK.

I'd be willing to wager Expedition (not finding) Bigfoot Season 4 will yield about the same results as the previous 3 seasons.

Possible and probablr.   It is an entertainment show and has zero responsibilities to do things on the up and up.

Right?  That’s the reason we should doubt it.  They could lie and use CGI and most of the audience would never even know it.  It takes logic and reason.  A sasquatch or any other creature on earth now or ever before does not have the physical power necessary to uproot a tree and drive it into the ground, embedded, and upside down.  No animal can do it.  But, you know what can do it?

Machines men have made.  With machines it can be done relatively easily…with right equipment.  With flesh and blood?  No.  Not even close.  King Kong or the Hulk could maybe do it.  First thing I would say is this, if you have never tried to remove the root system of a tree, you have no idea how strong it is.

Not following it, though I saw a commercial the other day and was amazed it's in season 4.

I think the easiest way would be perspective. As far as I know, they don't usually have a range finder built in to them, so just have the "eight foot bigfoot" be at 150 feet, rather then 180 feet.

CGI is so good now it's impossible to know for sure. People in their home can use AI sites to fake videos now that look very good.

Would depend on how big it was, I think.

A 8 foot bigfoot would likely be about as strong as a gorilla. A ten foot bigfoot would be almost 50% stronger. A 12 foot bogfoot would be well over twice as strong as a 8 foot BF. Given how mass/strength follows a cubed rule.

However, though I've read of BFs being 10, 12, even 20 feet tall. I find a eight foot BF to be most likely, in my opinion. A 12 foot humanoid just isn't going to be able to run/jump/hide without heavy changes in bone strength.

It's not a documentary. The show was entertaining, but they lost me when they claimed Bigfoot could shape-shift into a bear, but then also claimed Bigfoot has stealth mode. Could explain why apparent Bigfoots turn out looking like bears, but stealth? FFS!.The show "Finding Bigfoot" went on for 12 seasons and now gets a reboot. (Spolier: they, too, never found Bigfoot)

I prefer Les Stroud's Survivor Man Bigfoot series. He has continued it on YouTube.
