Trelane Posted September 28 #2 Share Posted September 28 I'll believe it when I see 300 witness statements. Smells a lot like the old Phoenix Lights sensationalism to me.
astrobeing Posted September 28 #3 Share Posted September 28 Supposedly sixteen years ago hundreds of people witnessed a UFO which would be among the most witnesses of a single UFO ever... and we're just hearing about it now? On Netflix? 2
+Hammerclaw Posted September 28 #4 Share Posted September 28 With no verifiable evidence and only hearsay, it's just another lurid tale.

On Netflix? Astro, me man... did you read the link? The mass sighting made national news in 2008 with coverage in the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Times, and on National Public Radio. Hammer, they said they got radar data from the FAA. I suppose you don't have to believe them, just saying.

One could land on your foot, and you still wouldn't admit it was a ufo.

Of course, if it landed on his foot it'd no longing be an unidentified flying object - it's be an Unidentified Foot-stomping Object. But still a UFO .... Back to the alleged incident, and media reports at the time don't quite match with what is now being claimed https://www.npr.org/2008/01/16/18146244/dozens-claim-they-spotted-ufo-in-texas https://www.npr.org/2008/01/24/18375952/air-force-alters-texas-ufo-explanation https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=4142232&page=1 1

Yeah, the Daily Mail article implied that it was all over the media at the time but I couldn't find a single article on any sighting that matched the description in their article. If it really happened then it must be the most important UFO sighting in the past fifty or sixty years. I mean a publication like the Daily Mail wouldn't publish something if it isn't true, right? I did get hit after hit of Netflix promoting this new show so they're doing a job of bringing this "forgotten" incident back into the light. Maybe it can be the next Roswell. 2

There are ways. One is - get into the field yourself. I did see a UFO once, and I trust me. So I know UFOs exist. Don't believe me...? UFOs are cosmic teases and I'm over them.
