Popular Post Grim Reaper 6 Posted October 3 Popular Post #1 Share Posted October 3 A female dog abandoned with her bowls on a Maryland sidewalk has found a forever home, according to animal rescue employees. The Terrier-American bulldog mix, later given the name Flora, was abandoned in Prince George's County—near D.C.—with her bowls last month in a case that shocked animal welfare workers. Flora's plight came to the attention of the Humane Society of Prince George's County and a photo of her was shared on its Facebook page on September 22. The post read: "This poor dog breaks our hearts - she was abandoned in Oxon Hill with her bowls and just patiently waited for someone to come back for her." Thankfully, 4-year-old Flora was picked up the same day and was found to be in a "fair condition." She was taken to Prince George's County Animal Services and Adoption Facility. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/offbeat/dog-abandoned-with-his-bowls-waiting-for-owner-s-return-finds-forever-home/ar-AA1hCQVT?cvid=881e03c837a241c8ac0e35e840832001&ei=2 7

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I can say that for me it's easier to justify in my own mind killing a wicked man than it is to harm any animal. 4

Some people should never have pets. They don't deserve them. 4

Yeah, I'll rephrase that and say I hate people who mistreat animals. 4
Still Waters Posted October 5 #9 Share Posted October 5 I watch videos on YouTube now and then showing various pet rescues, mostly dogs. The condition some of those poor animals are in is just heart breaking and every time I think how in the world can people be so cruel and heartless to just dump them like that. Some dogs are found tethered so they can't even move very far, some are just puppies, some are injured, and they're all hungry and distressed. It amazes me how they can ever trust humans again but in time they do and find happiness in their forever homes. Thank goodness there are people out there who do care and the rescuers who are brilliant.
