Declassified UFO files show Winston Churchill decreed 'cover up' to prevent 'panic'

Before the 70s, though, there were supposed extraterrestrial experiences among Royal Air Force Pilots, and - according to released files from the British government - Prime Minister Winston Churchill decreed that these allegations should be quashed in order to prevent "mass hysteria." The rationale behind Churchill's decision, it appears, was to maintain public morale during World War II. According to the declassified files - which were published by the National Archives in 2010 - Churchill met with US General Dwight Eisenhower, who later became US President, at an undisclosed location in the United States and made the demands.

The alleged sighting took place after a reconnaissance mission in occupied Europe. During the pilot's return home over the eastern English coast, his plane was shadowed by a metallic UFO. The craft, which the crew took photos of, was said to have "hovered noiselessly." The suggestions that the pilot and other crew members may have misinterpreted as a missile were rejected by a weapons expert. Such technology was "totally beyond any imagined capabilities of the time," they said.

Declassified documents of a story, yet nothing definitive from the office of Churchill himself. You can toss that in the bin of worthless information for all I'm concerned.

I can't wait for the next round of "declassified files" that show Andrew Johnson was briefed on UFOs.  Maybe it will be leaked documents proving Zachary Taylor created a UFO task force.

I think it's time for you to look for another news site.  2nd MSN article that starts with 'claims' and turns into 'to the effect of...'

Personally I'm more interested in the active 'vehicles' list of the Space Force ;-)

I meant all the letter combinations that haven't been acknowledged yet.

One of the reasons they exist is to: "Deter aggression in, from, and to space".  I still find it hard to imagine how they will do that with the current known tech.

Well, the Air Force and NASA helped build the necessary infrastructure for them. In terms of military projects, there are far more that are not known than the ones known or declassified.
