Just goes to show that people will willingly fall for almost anything.

Conan Doyle was a full on believer in spiritualism. Saying he was fascinated by fraudulent mediums isn’t saying much.

This article sure does make ectoplasm disgustingly suspicious... where exactly did it come from again and why was it dripping off the females in the dark room?

It was disgusting period. See Harry Price’s paper “Regurgitation and the Duncan Mediumship” if you want an idea.

Swallowing cheesecloth and barfing it back up again is really gross.

They put the effort in, you gotta give them that. Unlike the “mental mediums” of today who just bs people by telling them what they want to hear.

Like those conniving Tyler Henry and John Edward my sister-in-law mocks all the time? She buried her only son so she REALLY hates them with that vicious passion we both know.

I happen to believe there are genuine physical mediums. I've studied this a fair amount and there are just too many quality reports by too many competent people doing careful investigations for me to believe some of this isn't real. There are frauds too to confuse the issue and give skeptics enough reason to dismiss it all.
