Many physicists assume we must live in a multiverse – but their basic maths may be wrong

Quote

One of the most startling scientific discoveries of recent decades is that physics appears to be fine-tuned for life. This means that for life to be possible, certain numbers in physics had to fall within a certain, very narrow range.

One of the examples of fine-tuning which has most baffled physicists is the strength of dark energy, the force that powers the accelerating expansion of the universe. If that force had been just a little stronger, matter couldn’t clump together. No two particles would have ever combined, meaning no stars, planets, or any kind of structural complexity, and therefore no life.

I'm a firm believer of it.

Imagine all the possibilities.

-Humans nor their extinct relatives never existed

-Dinosaurs never went extinct

-Neanderthals survived, but humans went extinct

-Roman Empire never fell

-Where the Germans won WWII

"Physics is fine tuned for life" is a perfect statement. The Law of Increasing Functional Complexity rolls it out perfectly starting with a universe of nothing but subatomic particles up to complex life and the complex minerals it produces.

They have drawn goose eggs trying to show that the multiverse exists, and although the multiverse may seem to solve some problems, it still may not exist.

As an example, some think that the fact that the moon always shows the same face to earth is some kind of "magic numbers" but it isn't.  It's just physics.

That's because the moon, unlike the earth, is flat!🤗
