Although if the Bible were written today it almost certainly would say that.

Beliefs change over time - religious texts simply reflect the beliefs held when they were written.   Who are we to say today's beliefs are wrong and only those of 2 or 3 thousand year ago are correct?

;)

That’s a bit of a cop-out IMO Essan since when something is presented as “the Bible says ‘X’” when clearly the Bible says no such thing then the claim is most definitely wrong. More so when it’s either stated or implied that the Bible has “always” said so. The Bible is supposedly inerrant/infallible/the word of God, that doesn’t allow for any change over time. Deuteronomy 4 and Revelation 22 both suggest as much.

Correctly speaking, wasn't only the Pentateuch supposed to be the actual word of God (dictated by him to some Egyptian guy?   And a lot of the New Testament is just the inerrant/infallible word of Saul of Tarsus.  So there is plenty of wiggle room :P

Just copy and paste your first sentence of this reply then. Because while you are free to believe it, nothing in scripture backs that up.

Just so you know, but I don't follow any scripture, (not saying its bad per se..) but I do follow my heart.

Up-to-date, truthful and honest, in harmony, and the way to a beautiful, inner peace.

Just a suggestion but, go find GOD for yourself, within.

Thank you but isn't that proselytizing? (And against forum rules). It assumes wrongly I don't have a belief system (that unlike you I don't feel the need to share because it's private). The discussion led us to talk about concepts that clearly make you uncomfortable. That seems like a you problem.

I guess the skill of prophecy is probably pretty obtainable its just most people are disinterested. Here's a picture of pariedolia that maybe some of you can see the prophecy in....

I agree I think people are just too busy with their jobs, egos and worrying about what others think to listen to their gut feelings, survival instincts. People that do have the skill are put up on a pedestal like they are some kind of magic being.

Suggesting to stand on your own two feet, isn't proselytizing, in fact it is the opposite.

Organised religion is really only there to take away your innate power, not to stand of your own, GOD given, two feet.

Not saying that there isn't value in the lives of Godly people, but they were only Saints, Bodhisattvas, Masters and Yogis due to finding this innate power within.

That IS preaching as you are pushing your belief onto others who don’t believe the same. You don’t get to dictate to others what is or isn’t God given as you don’t remotely speak for any God, should one exist.

Its not preaching, it is only a belief.

And something folks may take, or leave, as they see fit according to how they feel about it!

Why are you so scared of other peoples beliefs?

Why do you consistently lie about preaching? Again, you don’t get to dictate to others what is or isn’t “God given” for them as your version of God is irrelevant to anyone but yourself.

Your God doesn’t have any relevance to others either. If there actually is “a” God you don’t speak for it any more than the other 8+ billion of us on this planet. If you can’t understand that I don’t know what to tell you, it can’t be dumbed down any further.

I'm not trying to dictate anything, you are free to believe in anything you want to. And this is something I've said time and time again.

Therefore, I literally mean everybody may believe in whatever they like.

And so you don't get to speak for everybody else, (like a dictator) telling everybody that these ideas are irrelevant for them..

Because that would be up to the individual to decide, right?

Or are you so stupid, and so much of a hypocrite to not even understand this much?

And yet you do. There was no reason whatsoever to add “God given” to your previous post as you speak for no God, but merely your limited interpretation of one. If you’d cease and desist with stupid **** like that you might actually get somewhere.

Nope because there’s no verifiable evidence that a God who involves itself in human affairs exists.

You don't know that to be true. You just dictate it to others as though it is.

Yes I do as God, as a universal Creator, CANNOT BE QUANTIFIED

Prove otherwise O great pretender!
