The London Underground station said to be haunted each year at Christmas by ‘woman in red scarf’

It's a fairly unremarkable station at first glance, but it's inspired a chilling Christmas tale

A pretty ordinary looking Tube station has inspired a spine-tingling tale that re-emerges each year at Christmas time.

Ickenham station, in the Borough of Hillingdon in West London, appears to be your run-of-the-mill local Underground station. It doesn't get all that much footfall, but does serve both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines.

There's a creepy story, however, of a supposed ghost - a woman, to be more specific, dressed in a red scarf.

My mother in-law used to have to shelter in underground stations during bombings in war time. There would be a lot of residual, stone tape energy with that much fear involved so ghosts will be seen.
