Sunak on the ropes- snap GE to be declared next?

The Brexiter Tory Party continues to make the UK a laughingstock in the world.

They have a choice now: to back Braverman and leave the ECHR and other international human rights agreements and join Belarus and Russia (which will jeopardise the GFA and may lead to sanctions from the EU and US); or back Sunak and risk the anger of the UK voters as they throw good money after bad on a policy that won't work.

Of course, we all know the act of stupidity that put us in this isolated position and led to the explosion in both legal and illegal immigration, so I won't bother to mention it.

Rishi Sunak has denied his government has become a “joke” and a “laughingstock” over his failed Rwanda plan – but appeared to plead with Labour to back his under-threat legislative plan.

The PM’s premiership has been rocked by the resignation of immigration minister Robert Jenrick, as he failed to appease the Tory right with his emergency Rwanda bill.

You know the Tories have lost the plot when even Rwanda is threatening to pull out of the scheme:

Quote

Rwanda has said it would not have been able to continue with the deal to allow the UK to forcibly deport asylum seekers to the African country unless the UK complied with "lawful behaviour".

The Rwanda scheme will stop people being trafficked almost as efficiently as dropping dozens of toilet rolls into the Channel will .....

However, it's clear some in the Tory Party really do believe in the Tooth Fairy, Hogfather and the Easter Bunny - and that Harry Potter is a true story.

How on Earth did we let so many immature children get control of this country?!!!!

You do realise the only way to stop immigration is for there to be a UKIP government?

Congratulates on your new UKIP membership, it might raise some peoples eyebrows amongst the left but they are clearly aligned with your views.

Would they wave their little wands and magically stop all wars, hatred and crime, bring climate stability and end flood, famine and drought, instigate compassionate governments in all countries, and make everyone equally rich?

Or would they make the UK the most awful, miserable, unsafe, expensive, country on the planet with 90% unemployment, millions homeless and everyone struggling to find enough rats to eat?

Those are the only 2 options (and I'm not certain the 2nd one would work)

You have two extremes there, how about as all governments they would fall somewhere in the middle.

UKIP are a spent force - last thing I heard they had been completely wiped out in the 2023 local elections.

They were a Brexit pressure group that have lost their support due to Brexit.

A party needs policies that (a) people want and (b) which the big three will not copy and (c) what the big three will not be able to pull the rug out from under.

Unless UKIP has those its members may as well drift over to the big three.

Rwanda, a state whose adherence to the rule of law has been questioned by the UK Supreme Court, is taking the moral high ground over the UK.

But the UK has already admitted, when it was preparing the NIP Bill, that it was prepared to break the law in "a limited and specific way".

What the hell has happened to our country? Why are we allowing these thieves, liars and grifters to run our country (into the ground)?
