I know there are very serious political and economic issues involved, but the Palestinian-Jewish conflict also highlights the unhelpfulness of religion. Religion has been the most destructive invention of mankind.

Once Hamas is ended, hopefully, the citizens of Gaza will recognize the reality that Israel is not going ANYWHERE and that any group that tries to organize to do violence against Israel's citizens WILL be terminated with prejudice.  If they want peace, there can be peace - and great prosperity.  If they will accept nothing but a Judenrein Palestine, then their deaths are the direct result of their choices.  The longer the global community gives them hope of attaining their goal, the longer the bloodshed will continue.

The article failed to point out that Hamas started this war, and that Hamas uses civilian non-combatants as human shields.
