Loud jet sound in the sky

I just signed up for this account just now. Not sure if I'm even posting this correctly or even in the correct spot. okay so every single night prime time is like 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. I hear loud jet sounds that don't get any closer or any further away they're just there and then they're not. I personally do not think it is a jet I think there's spacecrafts and I have a feeling they're everywhere in all Skies all states I'm listening to it right now actually and it is loud it's like they're revving up their engine. Without doubt I believe we are not alone I believe everyone knows about it except for the Common People such as us. Anyway without cutting me down does anybody have any thoughts on this. Thank you

Google Sky Trumpets, does that sound like what you’re hearing?
Also, sounds travel better at night (anecdotally I can hear the shunting of the trains at the local station at the early hours of the morning but not during the day for example).

Unfortunately, without knowing where you live it's impossible to suggest what you might be hearing - but as Hats says, sound often travels further at night, and we're more aware of specific noises because there is less background noise.   It could be something industrial a few miles away, for example.   Or it could simply be high flying jets - which often we don't hear at all but (again, more especially at night) can sound quite loud and close by depending on atmospheric conditions.

I can’t really comment much on your post, because I don’t believe there is enough evidence to support the fact that we have ever had extraterrestrials that have visited Earth. However, my opinion could change if convincing reputable scientific evidence is ever offered. I do however believe that our Universe is full of life some intelligent but most no so much, but again I don’t believe they have ever visited Earth.

However with that said, welcome to forum and if people give you crap based upon your beliefs just let it roll off your back and carry on.:tu:

Peace Marbles!:tu:

Welcome to the forum.    I think they probably are jets.  You can look up the flight paths of the local air ports and see if your house is under neath them.   Jets that are not landing or taking off fly very high.

Tinnitus is constant, Not just at a specific time of day.

I live a mile north of an interstate highway. When there’s a south wind blowing at 10-15 mph and a very low cloud cover, the traffic noise can be heard inside my house.
The next time you hear the noise, go outside and check the weather conditions and the wind direction. That may help you determine where the sound originates from.

Welcome.  You didn't say where you are from.  Do you live near an airport?  In my immediate area there actually are fighter jets flying around.  They have been sharing our public airport for training purposes since theirs is under repair.  Could it be that you're actually hearing fighter jets after all?  Around here they are louder than hell.

No.

My tinnitus is 24/7/365.  Sounds like locusts in the trees in the middle of summer.

I never had a problem until two or three years after I retired from the Army 2003. It started as a buzz in my right ear, but know I have a buzz in both ears. Sometimes, it will just stop for a few days, but it always comes back and when it’s going on it’s none stop 24/7. But, I just deal with it because as most people know there is no fixing.

Not for me, it comes and goes during the average month I may have 3 or 4 quite days and I am very thankful for those days.

I live about six miles from our city airport.  Of course I hear the take offs and landings that come in my direction.  I have also noticed the sudden sound of engines and then they stop.

I don't know if this is the case, but I happened to be driving by the entrance road at the right time.   Right at take off the engines were revved.  As the jet turned out on the taxiway from the gate to the runway, the tail was pointed in our direction the noise of the exhaust just blasted our car.  It was all we could hear. As soon as the jet straightened out on the runway and the tail was pointing away the sound diminishes significantly.  Just a thought

Many years ago, occasionally I would hear a sound similar to what Marbles described. Kindofa loud deep roaring sound, much like a jet engine at full blast. Just suddenly on at full volume for awhile and then abruptly stopped. Freaked me out.

I asked around and learned that it was part of a maintenance procedure at the large pulp mill in town. They were opening release valves on huge high pressure tanks.

I wonder if it's something similar. Hard to tell without more information.

Either that or it's spaceships. lol

Please get your ears checked by a specialist. I have had classic tinnitus for 30 years. Studied up on it a lot. Yours sounds like something different, Grim.  Constant ringing, and different pitched tones are the classic hallmarks of tinnitus. It generally doesn't come, and go.

I have done that on more then one occasion and the doctors all told me the same thing that I have Tinnitus. I have all the symptoms you described above except at times it just goes a away for very short periods of time during the day. But, that quite never lasts and it come roaring back again.

But seriously thanks for your concern, I appreciate it very much.:tu:

I don't know how loud your tinnitus is, but hearing aids, for some reason, do lower the volume substantially.

The reason it's louder at night is because you're more focused on environmental sounds around you during the day. Including talking to others. At night it's pretty quiet so it seems louder. Lots of sufferers use white noise at night to lower the tinnitus. Unfortunately, mine tinnitus is severe so I had to learn to ignore it. The hearing aids help a lot. 🦻

I heard a wild roar like jet engines screaming last week walking my dog.

It was unusually loud. Sounded like engines under great pressure at high revs. Did not last long. About thirty seconds at most.

Looked up but it was very cloudy. Couldn't see a thing.

No idea what sort of plane it was going over a densely populated area so loudly, but I've never heard anything quite like it.

I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to attribute it to something not from this planet though. I was somewhat expecting to see a plane fall out of the sky.
