Burke didn't want his fathers money

But one potential suspect stands out, at least to her father: a masked intruder who snuck inside the home of a 12-year-old girl in Boulder, Colo., nine months after JonBenét’s murder. The suspect raped the girl and then ran away when the child's mother scared him off.

Could be this suspect but he didn't asked for money

Mr. Ramsey,

Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We do respect your bussiness [sic] but not the country that it serves. At this time we have your daughter in our posession [sic]. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter.

You will withdraw $118,000.00 from your account. $100,000 will be in $100 bills and the remaining $18,000 in $20 bills. Make sure that you bring an adequate size attache to the bank. When you get home you will put the money in a brown paper bag. I will call you between 8 and 10 am tomorrow to instruct you on delivery. The delivery will be exhausting so I advise you to be rested. If we monitor you getting the money early, we might call you early to arrange an earlier delivery of the money and hence a [sic] earlier delivery pick-up of your daughter.

Any deviation of my instructions will result in the immediate execution of your daughter. You will also be denied her remains for proper burial. The two gentlemen watching over your daughter do not particularly like you so I advise you not to provoke them. Speaking to anyone about your situation, such as Police, F.B.I., etc., will result in your daughter being beheaded. If we catch you talking to a stray dog, she dies. If you alert bank authorities, she dies. If the money is in any way marked or tampered with, she dies. You will be scanned for electronic devices and if any are found, she dies. You can try to deceive us but be warned that we are familiar with law enforcement countermeasures and tactics. You stand a 99% chance of killing your daughter if you try to out smart [sic] us. Follow our instructions and you stand a 100% chance of getting her back.

You and your family are under constant scrutiny as well as the authorities. Don't try to grow a brain John. You are not the only fat cat around so don't think that killing will be difficult. Don't underestimate us John. Use that good southern common sense of yours. It is up to you now John!

Victory!

His land-line phone call numbers could be found ?

HI Docy

A land-line is much different as those old phones didn't have passwords, facial recognition or thumbprint security to use like cell phones today and yes you may know which numbers were called but do not know who made the call or who answered at the other end. There would be very little that could be learned or proven with just looking a a list of numbers called especially if the call went to a payphone.

The weird theory no one talks about: the ex-wife did it

John Ramsey's first wife was Lucinda "Cindy" Pasch. They divorced in 1978 and Lucinda married someone with the surname Johnson. This theory is based on the idea (for which I have no evidence) that Lucinda was secretly an unstable psychopath. Maybe Lucinda was traumatized by the death of Beth Ramsey in 1992 and became extremely resentful of John and Patsy and their happy family and wanted to inflict as much pain on them as possible.

On Christmas Day, John, Patsy and Burke were planning to head to Michigan to meet Lucinda's children John Andrew and Melinda.

So from Lucinda's point of view, her children are going to meet with her ex-husband and his new wife and his perfect new family. They were all going to have a perfect little Christmas with her kids.

This Christmas was her breaking point. She flies to Boulder, maybe watches the house for a while, and gets in either while they are at the party, or while they are asleep.

She takes Jonbenet - the spoiled, perfect daughter of John's second marriage. She wants to show Patsy what it is like to lose a daughter. She wants to destroy John's happy new life that she associates irrationally with the death of Beth. She murders Jonbenet and, in an attempt to deflect suspicion away from herself, she makes it look like a kidnapping gone wrong.

Then presumably she flies back to Georgia.

Lucinda's alibi: Lucinda lived in Marietta Georgia. In Schiller's book it is noted that John Andrew and Melinda Ramsey spent the first part of the Christmas vacation "with [their] mother, Lucinda Johnson". Schiller notes that on Christmas afternon:

John Andrew, Harry Smiles, Melinda, and her boyfriend, Stewart Long, exchanged gifts at Lucinda's home in Marietta.

They don't say Lucinda was there as well, but I assume that is what they mean. John Andrew and Melinda were both out of the house by 8:30 PM, and home by 1:00 AM. There is no mention of what Lucinda was doing. Presumably she went to bed. But it's possible John Andrew and Melinda are lying to cover for her. Remember when John Andrew was asked what should be done to the killer and he replied "forgiveness"....

Of course, this is a pretty wild theory and there are many, many objections to be made. The main one being that there is no indication Lucinda was in the house, and no evidence Lucinda was a psychopath.

But I just wanted to share it in case anyone else had thought about this, or if anyone knew whether or not the police had seriously looked at the possibility that LDI.

It's not all that surprising when you think about all the unsolved crimes.

It doesn't mean much if a case is mishandled initially; it makes it harder to resolve. I believe this case was mishandled. Additionally, when there are numerous conspiracy theories and wild accusations surrounding the case, it hinders rather than helps the investigation.

I think John Ramey may know his oldest son could be behind it wanting money. but he does `nt want to give him a death penalty in Georgia
