Try reading Kastrups essay. It might be more to your liking.

No thank you!  Kastrup is a crackpot, not to mention that he looks like he just escaped from Epstein's Island!

Why am I not surprised. According to your metric, Einstein is a crackpot too. That's if your deciding by a person's looks. I dare say his bonfides far surpass yours.

Bernardo Kastrup has a Ph.D. in philosophy (ontology, philosophy of mind) and another in computer engineering (reconfigurable computing, artificial intelligence). He has worked as a scientist in some of the world's foremost research laboratories, including the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and authored many academic papers and books on philosophy and science.

Let's see your academic accomplishments matched up against his. Shouldn't be hard as he's a crackpot, right? Please include all your peer researched work to date. Thank you.

Cool.  So what about the "essay" is so compelling?

Where did I say it was compelling? He explores both sides of the argument, and seems to be skeptical about aliens on earth. He has other Ideas, but still seems to remains skeptical.

I don't do X, and am deaf so I have no idea what the X poster is trying to link to Kastrup. I just found his essay interesting.

This article is my first encounter with Kastrup.  I didn't think he said anything particularly crazy or controversial.

Thanks Al. I thought it was interesting. I had to stretch my brain a bit, but I got what he was saying. He did seem to be a bit of a fence sitter on the subject, which is perfectly understandable considering the content. I think I'll dig out some more of his work for perusal.

It wasn't an essay.  Your later link shows that in his most recent post there is an essay still to be published.

In his blog, Kastruo states he doesn't believe Lazar and finds him incoherent.  However, if Lazar's claims were true his course of conduct was irresponsible.

His speculation that Putin announcing that he had alien technology would change the world, is baseless.  Afterall, we saw Reagan's Star Wars bluff and it's effect.

Let's see your mathematical equation that allows for ET to be on Earth.  ...meanwhile back at the Watching Water Boil Ranch...

Just because someone has F'd twice after their name doesn't mean they have a correct thought about didley...it just means they went to school a lot.  Basically, a professional student...not that there is anything wrong with that...

Honestly, if someone seriously applies the word Metaphysics to anything, I tune them out...

So, what if the entire UFO flap is a US psy-op directed against the Russians.  Sure, it is used to freak out a few US citizens to make it believable (and because making some enemies of the PTB appear insane is useful), but ultimately it is to be used as cover for operations into the USSR during the Cold War.  It has even been used against friendly powers on occasion.  I could see how it would work.  The thing about UFOs is that nobody wants to report them.  Governments don't want to admit they exist.  What better cover for an operation could there be?  Plenty of spies in ancient times used to use hauntings as cover for their operations, until people began to flock to hauntings looking for ghosts.  Now we need something more contemporary.  Enter UFOs.

Nobody is denying that there are objects that are apparently flying and can't be identified.

How do you know they are correct? Posting a resume doesn't lend to credibility. As an investigations instructor advised us in class, "When examining statements and testimony, keep in mind that credentials do not equal credibility."
