I forgot to mention, not just because he pulled the trigger is Baldwin responsible along with his props manager, but also because he was the producer of the movie.

Alec Baldwin request to drop Rust manslaughter case denied

A US judge has denied a motion by Alec Baldwin to dismiss an involuntary manslaughter charge over a deadly film set shooting in 2021.

Halyna Hutchins, 42, was shot with a gun Mr Baldwin was using during a rehearsal on the set of Rust, a Western being filmed in New Mexico.

Director Joel Souza was also wounded in the incident.

Mr Baldwin's is scheduled to stand trial in July.

They already convicted the armor who was supposed to check and keep control of the weapons, of course he is liable as well, since it is any actor's responsibility to also check any weapon they are using before they play with it (which is what he was doing).   And he is "the boss", it is his project so he should have made better choices and kept better oversight  over his employees.   The buck stops with him.
