Correct me if I'm wrong but i feel this thread @Hazzard started is generally referring to what one might call modern ufology- so not ridiculous IMO, all due respect 😉

Nope.

It's a little sleight of hand headline.

Along the lines of, why is it always somebody in the USA who gets abducted, these things only occur or spike after UFO films in the cinema, why is it only in rural areas... all of which are false too.

I find this pretty interesting... almost as if it was a cultural phenomenon. 🙂

Here's a truth, disinformation hasn't caused the ufo movement, it's been around much much longer than the 1950's.

OMS is known for not actually reading anything and only homing in on those who are skeptical or provide a contrasting viewpoint from the ETH.  Very "on-brand" of him.

The disinformation has been around at  least for as long as after the first radio broadcast/book/film when there was a UFO movement to be used.

1938 was the War of the worlds broadcast, and Roswell was a perfect first example of how the UFO nutties were used.

No way they would say it was a part of a top secret spying on the Sovjets program...  A flying saucer was great smoke and mirrors at the time...

It started way before 1938. UFO's are not a new phenomena

yeah we all know that!

ufo reports from the past 70/80 years are now possibly being used as suggested in this topic.

what part of that do you not understand?
