So can they give people PCT intravenously and simulate this phenomenon? It seems that theory would be reproducible in a lab. I've heard the theory, but it doesn't explain many of the facets of everybody's experiences.

yeah isn't it interesting how a strange phenomenon while dying is somehow chalked up to an evolved mechanism, while evolved mechanisms are supposedly all related to survival?
