Supreme Court extends block on Texas law that would allow police to arrest migrants.

The Supreme Court on Monday indefinitely extended its block on a Texas law that would give police broad powers to arrest migrants suspected of illegally entering the U.S. while the legal battle it sparked over immigration authority plays out. Opponents have called the law, known as Senate Bill 4, the most dramatic attempt by a state to police immigration since an Arizona law more than a decade ago, portions of which were struck down by the Supreme Court.

The Texas Attorney General has said the state’s law mirrored federal law and “was adopted to address the ongoing crisis at the southern border, which hurts Texans more than anyone else.” The battle over the Texas immigration law is one of multiple legal disputes between Texas officials and the Biden administration over how far the state can go to patrol the Texas-Mexico border and prevent illegal border crossings.

Texans who are harmed by these thugs should take out the trash, themselves.  DC has proven it isn't going to stop them.

The Supreme Court made this decision, not DC. So, when you consider the fact that the Supreme Court has more conservative justice's than non-conservative it's obvious, they felt the Texas Law was lacking. But the important thing to keep in mind is that there is now a legal precedence to shoot down similar laws from other states on this issue.

You are 100% correct.  There was a bill with bipartisan support that would make it illegal to request asylum when entering the country illegally.  Republicans shut it down.  Those damn Republicans are so soft when it comes to the border.  If it's fixed, they can't run on it.

Post of the day, and absolutely true. Biden tore them a new one over this in his SOTU address.
