Given the silence around her hospital stay, I was concerned she might have cancer.

Her family, and especially her children, must be beside themselves.

Hope all goes well for her.

I really hope people just leave this poor woman and her family alone so they can deal with this and heal. I can't imagine how hard it is for the family with both her and King Charles undergoing cancer treatments. My best wishes go out to all for speedy and full recoveries.

Its sad that she is only 42 years old and has Cancer , with three children to grow up. I had Cancer in 1984 and when I was 42  years old and prayed to survive and  raised my 4 children  so I`m did I'm  praying she survives Cancer to raise  her 3 children.

I don't think it's been revealed what type of cancer Kate has. She went into hospital for abdominal surgery which at the time was thought to be non-cancerous, it was after that they found some cancer cells which she's now being treated for after recovering sufficiently enough from the surgery.

I'm wondering if she felt forced to make a statement because of the speculation that's been broadcast everywhere, that can't have been good for her health seeing all the garbage that's been posted about her and William. I hope now people will leave her and her family in peace and let them get on with this difficult time they're facing. William now has both his wife and father dealing with cancer. I wish them all the very best.

King Charles III is "so proud of Catherine for her courage" in speaking about her treatment for cancer, Buckingham Palace has said.

The King, who has been diagnosed with cancer himself, is in the "closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law", a short statement read.

Support has poured in for the princess, who described her diagnosis as a "huge shock" in a video released on Friday.

She has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy since late February.

Kensington Palace has not disclosed the type of cancer Catherine has been diagnosed with, but says it is confident she will make a full recovery.

I told my daughter I thought she had cancer just by  the operation and then time for healing.  I was and am totally disgusted how speculations, memes and nasty posts were flying around the internet.  The lack of empathy so many people display until she felt she had to release a statement to set the record straight baffles me.  She is going through such a scary, horrible time, she needs to just heal now.  I really hope she can now concentrate on herself without any more negativity directed at her.

Yea I made a mistake; I was watching the BBC when I posted that. They were talking about colon cancer while they were talking about her, so I mistakenly thought they were saying that was the type of cancer she had. When I found out I was wrong I was unable to correct my comments.

I think she felt forced to make that statement, there was so much speculation going on that included her possible death. So, by making that statement she was able to dispel all the conspiracy theories so that her and her family can have some privacy. I also hope that now her and family are left alone, they certainly deserve their privacy. I also wish them all the best.

Thanks for your post!!:tu:

Princess of Wales ‘cancer free’ after completing chemotherapy

The Princess of Wales has said she is doing what she can to “stay cancer free” after completing chemotherapy treatment and is planning to return to limited public engagements in the coming months.

In a video message released by Kensington Palace on Monday, Catherine said she was relieved that her course of preventive chemotherapy was over after an “incredibly tough” and “scary” nine months for her and her family.

It's wonderful to hear she is cancer free. She still needs to take it a little easy but it sounds like the worse of it is over.

Good news.

And it gives hope to those in a similar position.
