I know you've swayed far from Trump's corner lately and that's alright with me because you always keep things respectful. I think this election just has to happen as well. This will be Trump's last hurrah and we just need to get it out of the way. There are no more superstars on either side of the aisle and maybe we can return to normalcy after 2028. It's been Bushes, Clinton's, Obama and Trump since 1988. They've all become or came from larger than life names. We could use some fresh faces and steer away from legacy families. I left Biden out because he's a fluke and a 50 year public leech with no notable positive legacy.

It is the same with the present Tory govt in the UK. It sounds counter-intuitive because of their 'law and order' rhetoric, but they really are soft on crime on many levels. One: they are often the criminals themselves (the govt picked up far more fines over Covid infringements than the general population), two: they are often caught out in sleaze aka lobbying corruption (about once a month), three: more Tory MPs have resigned due to sexual improprieties during the 14 years they have been in office than in the previous 50 years of British politics, four: due to their austerity policies they have run down the police numbers, courts and prisons are crumbling due to RAAK concrete, and convicted criminals are either released early or never sent to prison in the first place. 'Law and Order' is just a three-word slogan to fool foolish electors. Now like rats leaving a sinking ship they are resigning to get corporate jobs outside politics as they know they won't be able to milk taxpayers after the next General Election because they will be the Opposition. I do remember them getting into trouble on almost a weekly basis. Has it slowed with Boris moving on? The notable differences I see are the people. They didn't condone the shenanigans. Whereas Trump could punch a Maga supporter in the face, take their wallet, assault their wife and they would say thank you and brag to their friends about it. Are there political fanatics like that in the UK? I don't hear anything at that level coming out of the UK.

If the situation was exactly the same but Trump's name was Big Pharma or a left siding politician his supporters would come down on him like Armageddon. Because it's Trump and he sells himself as a regular person fighting politicians (big lols) people support his crookedness. They are the gullible people who believed the outright lie of a stolen election and the sort of crazy that goes after the FBI with th a nail gun. Yet people like the Americans he ripped of at Baja don't register. Many posts here illustrate that very scenario.

Nope. It's just Maga. I don't believe you. AT, or Hawken would definitely go that far. Cid and cookie want to date the old man. Their sycophantic rants are stomach turning at times. 50 million + spent on outright lies. No problem. Instrumental in removing basic rights (abortion) No problem. Instigate the capitol riot This is fine. Downplay Covid, estimated 140,000 deaths due to inaction. No problem. Sleep with a porn star while you wife is st home with a newborn. What a charismatic player! Go to court for crimes Persecution!!!!!!! This just goes on and on. It seems you haven't read ATs posts, or Hawken or Zebra or itsnot or many other total devotees sycophantic rants. Even you. Do you get how that sounds? It's like you're approving critical thinking. It's a Maga thing. Like how Maga whackos harassed people in the streets for wearing a mask or intimidating drivers. You may not realise how it sounds, but it is the first thing your comment reminded me of. 20 minutes ago, F3SS said: The rest of your validation is flawed. He doesn't sell himself as the average man. Shattuck: True blue-collar billionaire Donald Trump shows Hillary Clinton is out of touch Eric has also called his dad a blue collar billionaire. Eric also claimed he was working in construction sites from age 11 so BS seems the be a genetic trait. He could probably kick you in the nuts and you would call it a "personal handshake". Dude, your in deep. It's a shame because you seem like a decent bloke. But you've been duped if you think Trump is persecuted or thinks you are more than dirt under his shoes. You've been had. Are there political fanatics like that in the UK? I don't hear anything at that level coming out of the UK. Lying in parliament has become the norm, and also not resigning after breaking parliamentary rules. PM Sunak uses false statistics regularly in parliament, and he has been censured at least once the Office for National Statistics, saying: However, the UK Statistics Authority found the statements “do not reflect the position shown by the Home Office’s statistics”. He reappointed Suella Braverman as Home Secretary less than a week after she had to step down for data breaches. Sunak is prevented from making sensible decisions by constantly having to appease the far-right ERG, who are dancing to Nigel Farage's tune as Nige whips up frenzies in the Red Wall. The Tories also made the strategic mistake of allowing some of their number to become presenters on GBNews, which is an arm of Farage's Reform Party - so while their right-wing views are getting publicity, it is Reform who are getting the credit. You are right about the people- the centrist Tories (the Blue Wall) as well as Labour and Lib Dem supporters don't condone all the in-fighting and the ridiculous Rwanda policy. All polls are increasing showing the public are just gagging for a GE so they govt can be condemned to oblivion. Polls are also showing for one of the first times ever that the public don't want tax cuts, they just want to get the public services and the country functioning again.
+susieice Posted April 2 #93 Share Posted April 2 (edited) Trump paid his bond today. Trump secures $175 million bond in New York civil fraud case (msn.com) Donald Trump Posts Reduced $175M Bond; Full Amount Due If Appeal Lost (businessinsider.com) Donald Trump on Monday posted a $175 million appeal bond in his New York civil fraud case, an amount reflecting the big break a Manhattan appeals court had granted him last week on the nearly half a billion dollars he and his company actually owe the state. The former president secured the bond on Monday via Knight Speciality Insurance Company, a Los Angeles surety company. Knight Insurance published a certification that it has provided Trump's bond.
