The better to punch you in the head perhaps? ;)

My uppercut would get them before they finished pulling their arm back. Did I ever tell you I work with metal all day? 😄

You and me both. I'm 5'7" 135 pounds of delicate looking female. I cause men to stand up straighter and take a step back. I can even make a misbehaving, screaming and running toddler freeze in their tracks. When they regain the ability to move they run and hide behind mom or dad. 😄

I'm a little over 5'6", and about  175 lbs.   Despite being pretty muscular, I don't have a good RBF, so all kinds of weirdos come up to talk to me.   My daughter says I need to work on that.   LOL

About the only way I can figure out this alpha male thing is for all the guys in the thread to grab our clubs, spears, and stone knives, have it out once and for all. 😆

Fine.

I'll sell tickets!  :D

We both must have one of those faces. Strangers talk to me all the time. But I do smile whenever I make eye contact with someone. Unless they look like a weirdo.

I'm a machinist. We used to do pre-fab work as well. Going to power plants. Building guards, drainage shoots, stuff like that. We built a bridge twice. I've lifted a lot of heavy metals. We no longer do that now. All of us got too old.

I've got a lot of respect for y'all. Why didn't you build the bridge right the first time?  We are all a bunch of old farts at our shop too. I've cut my hours down to mostly paperwork now. My husband has no intention of retiring though and he's nine years older than me.

I guess I wrote that wrong it was two bridges. One in SC and one down in Georgia. My father is clocking close to 70, cousin who works for us is in his 50's and I'm 45. While I am the youngest and healthiest, I still have my issues. It's only my cousin and I doing the work now. My dad handles deliveries and paperwork. My cousin is CNC lathe, and I am the CNC mill man.

I don't think I can retire or to be more honest want to retire. I eventually won't be a machinist but I will do something easier.

I knew what you meant about the bridges, I was kidding. This kind of work takes a toll on your body that's for sure. When I was younger and had something to prove if one of the guys said let me get that for you I'd tell them I got it. Eventually I started saying thank you more often.

I was the heavy lifter. If something needed to be picked up or moved, it was me that did it. Now with gut, lower back and having dislocated an arm. I just can't do it. I'm still stout, I just don't care about lifting that kind of junk any longer.

Mmmm Hmmm...🤔

See, real Alpha Men would have only had to build that bridge once!😆 Edit: damn it! Just saw Michelle beat me to that!

Indeed. Good choice. Though we may be evenly matched we both mustn't forget Piney. He will be wielding the ultimate chainsaw of total destruction, Excalibrrrrr!

I’ll match your pickaxe and sledge and raise you a halberd!

Wait, what are we doing again?

Establishing who the real alpha males are, I think, but I'm not sure why...maybe that's just what alpha males do...I'm sure some chick put us up to it though.

And do you even own a halberd?  I didn't think so...I win!

I suppose the irony is that there are men who have this figure but aren't actually dads to anyone. I prefer the using the term portly to describe myself.
