It's a gross misdemeanor in Skamania County, no?  I distinctly recall coming across a reference to bigfoot in an army field manual during my short work in the defense sector, so the powers-that-be haven't foreclosed their existence.  Generally, don't shoot bigfoot.  Go down to Texas and shoot those menacing feral pigs.

*Sorry, it was likely that Washington Environmental Atlas, at not an FM.

I don't know or care what laws are on books about a mythical creature,

Fact is if you shoot a creature that is a hominoid of the genera homo you will very likely face charges of homicide if you went hunting it then that premeditated murder, saying I didn't know it was human won't wash.

But the worse that might happen is some dolt will shoot another dolt dressed up to fool people.

If was in the wilderness and was stalked or attacked by “Bigfoot” then im shooting it. The law can do whatever it likes

Well duh,

If a creature stalks and attacks a person in the wood they likely if threatened will shoot it, my dad shot a bear that way.

However, you shoot and kill a human then be ready to justify it or the law will do what it likes and you will be playing had to get at the prison dance.

I doubt claiming you thought it was a mythical creature will float as defense.
