Easter sunrise: It's time for evangelicals to dump Trump and return to Christ

These days, however, it sometimes appears that the sun is setting on the true message of Easter for too many American Christians, as the true church is replaced by a church led by Donald Trump. As Jesus was falsely accused, they preach, Trump must be as well. This is of course absurd, yet it is believed or at least espoused by many evangelical leaders. The prevailing message delivered by these false teachers is that God has chosen this deeply flawed man to save the American evangelical church from its enemies.

According to this distorted gospel, it doesn't matter if Trump preaches an anti-Christian political agenda while spewing hateful messages. The only thing that matters is that Trump, as they claim, is God’s guy. I recently heard Trump’s leading apostle in the evangelical church, Christain Zionist Dr. Robert Jeffress, preach about the meaning behind Easter.

In our church, we are taught Christ's examples through the scriptures but we are also encouraged to search them ourselves, not just take our pastors' word for it.   As he has stated before, he is not infallible, and we should not follow any man blindly.

That was a truly outlandish thing to say...

But guess he's got to try and hold onto at least a few of the anti-Israel votes.

Between him and Trump,I never truly know what to expect will come out of their mouths.

The subject in this post reminds me of this verse in the bible.

Well, I am not religious but what little I know about the bible and the book of Revelations Trump would be one of the false prophets the bible speaks of. I thought about this when Trump declared that he was the CHOSEN ONE!, now if a non-Christian understands this, what is wrong with the Evangelical Christians that support him!!

I was raised Catholic, but I am not as devout Catholic as I was in my youth.  He really could fit the image of a Antichrist figure. I think it's because they desperately want something or somebody to believe in, so they are willing to be easily duped by this man into believing he is God’s guy.

I was baptized, given a God father and I completed my first communion, my parents were Strick Roman Catholics. While I never felt the calling, I was given no option except to go to church. However, in early teens my parents finally relented and allowed me to make my own decision concerning the Catholic / Christain religion and I never went to church again.

I think the Evangelical are pretty dam hard up to except Trump as chosen by god!!!!!
