Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Repent' Earthquake Tweet Shakes Up Internet

You have ignored the context of this verse. Even if the passage is saying women should be silent (arguably it's not that simple, but this isn't the spirituality section,  so let's pretend this is a directive to Christian women),  it's in the context of church worship. The text here says nothing about women leading or talking in secular contexts. Thus MTG working as a secularity elected official is entirely biblical!

Many churches have women leaders. Even the Catholic church is now allowing roles to women but they still can't be ordained in the priesthood. They can speak as lectors and recite prayers and sacred texts. They can also assist with communion. And women no longer have to cover their heads. But, this isn't the spirituality forum so no arguments needed.

Pope Francis backs women's roles in Catholic services (bbc.com)

They control the media so they can control the message but THIS TIME they will find a very unmanageable population that will not be shouted down again.  That "simple minded crowd" that numbers in the tens of millions isn't subject to their delusions and demands again.  Imagine their surprise when we all just say No, I don't think I will obey.

I'm not sure I know what it is you can't say no to. I have an idea but that doesn't mean I'm right.

Just don't forget Duncan that's a two way street. Violence, intimidation and threats do not go unnoticed, in fact more people than ever before are listening Duncan. The Governments prepared for whatever comes, but me personally I am just the opposite of you I don't want to see this come to a violent ending like the Big Orange Turd does. I believe that anyone like in the past (January 6 Insurrection) who follows Trump deserves what they get just like the Insurrectionists did for being stupid enough to become violent, don't ever forget you reap what you!!!!!

I hope you are wrong dude, because any insurrection, or Sedition from here forward will be put down like bad habit. But even with that said there are no winners or losers only confused Americans who hitched themselves to a Traitor who cares nothing about them. Like everything else he will not be present when the **** goes down, he will be watching it on TV just like last time. So, smell the coffee and wake up before it's late!!!!!!!!

I haven't ignored the context.  It is as you decribed.  Intrepreting the symbolism of earthquakes and eclipses is the role of a religious prophet (church worship) and not a secular elected official.

Can you imagine a "carefully reiMAGAined" version of the Bible?

Those who mock God's word will deserve their fate and they will go down screaming their hate as loudly as they can.  Greene isn't my hero nor do I think she's a prophet but it isn't really Greene that's being mocked, is it?  I think that most of the "self-fulfilling prophecy" crowd will hang on to it no matter how much evidence of fulfillment comes their way.  So be it.  The good news we are promised is that the harvest at that time will be "a number no man can count".  I think that the suffering during that time will reduce the total number of those who are proud to the point of worshipping their own knowledge over the wisdom of a Creator.

I am just going to tell you what I believe, not contest what you believe.  I believe a person's relationship with God is a one-to-one relationship.  It matters little what other people do, its what an individual does that matters. There is no benefit obtained by forcing other people to do the right thing, they were given free will too and need to exert their own choices.

Likewise, I think it is utterly arrogant to make God your bully boy. I think the hubris involved in that would be a reason to ask forgiveness. I think that IS worshipping their own knowledge and trying to replace  the Creators will with their own.

It is never a gesture filled with compassion or love or forgiveness. It always comes as an angry hateful mocking while they think they are going to sic their pit bull on you and enjoy the carnage. It says a lot more about a person than it does about God..

Trump is a self-proclaimed Chosen One which proves he is not religious. According to the Book of Revelations during the end days many will claim they are the Chosen One, and these men will actually be false Prophets: The Identity and Work of the False Prophet in the Book of Revelation – BiblicalCulture

Even the Pope has said that Trump is not a Christian if he builds Walls to Keep People out: UPDATED: If Trump only builds walls he's not Christian, Pope Francis says | Catholic News Agency

Trump doesn't even know the Lords Prayer and he was caught only partially mouthing the words: Authentic Video of Trump Only Partially Mouthing Words to the Lord's Prayer? | Snopes.com

The Bibles are for Trumps New Religious Order, which is known as MAGANITE and his followers are known as MAGANITES. Soon the slogan Make America Great Again will become The Maganite Order, membership will require the purchase of a Bible, Hat, Shirt (With the New Logo) and pair of Golden Tennis Shoes. This information comes from an anonymous source!!!!!

Now that I sit here and think about it.  What happened to RaptorWitness?  He always prophecized disasters with hurricanes linked to political events.

Word is it wasn't an earthquake after all. It was just Chris Christie falling out of bed.

🤣

Every so often, there's a good joke in the troll posts. Nice one. It's a good thing Christie lost some weight in the last decade. Could have been a M 7.5 or so if not.

Given the breadth of the "not on Team God" corners of the Earth, the Bible Belt of America probably isn't the best place for God to be sticking in his mixmaster in favour of engendering repentance.

Ah, your right.  It's better to be safe than sorry.

I am sorry that there was an earthquake with an epicenter near the grave of Trump's ex wife that occurred after the start of his corruption/paid porn star sex trial.  There must be a message there, but it is lost on me.

Just like whatever message God was trying to give when he visited a literal biblical plague on us (Covid) during Trump's last term.
