OJ Simpson has passed away

Always remember the police chase, and the long, long, long trial on TV and constantly flicking the channel to see the verdict and turning the volume up so that my dad could hear it in the garden.  Plenty of films were released just before and after the verdict.  They always trigger memories of the trial.  e g. 1995 releases: GoldenEye, Waterworld, Assassins, Mortal Kombat, First Knight, Babe, Under Siege 2, Species, The Net, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Get Shorty, Nick of Time, Total Eclipse, Casino....more.

We were spoiled for choice that year.

RIP to the victims and hopefully peace of mind for the relatives.

What I remember is that they didn't have enough evidence to convict him in  a criminal court AND the trial was all that was on television 24/7 so that made me suspicious about what was really going on that someone didn't want us to notice.    As for his guilt I believe his friend that drove him around for hours with a police "escort" was the one who did it.  His actions did not make any sense otherwise.   But I don't know any of them so I am just making a guess based on my bias.   If he had done it there would have been proof to convict him.   He was arrogant, but maybe that was because he knew he was being used as a circus act to keep something else out of the news.

I have no respect for scum like him. Murderers, pedophiles, serial killers, traffickers, terrorists, rapists, animal abusers and domestic abusers, etc. They all deserve to rot in hell.

See post number 26.  And you taking it so personally is something you should question.    There are thousands of murders walking around not getting caught for various reasons.   Do you not have anything going on in your own life or is your life so easy you have to feel pain over something you have nothing to do with concerning strangers that died 30 years ago?   Two words:   Cognitive Therapy.   Get some.

Don't you think you're overreacting to another person's opinions that doesn't in any direct way affect you?

It was an eventful year depending on which part of the world people are from and what interested them that year e.g. the Oklahoma city bombing, the wars in Bosnia and Chechnya, the assassination of the Israeli PM, deadly earthquakes in Japan, the Queen's visit to South Africa, 50th anniversary of the end of WW2, release of the Playstation console and Windows 95, and Hollywood news like the popular release of Disney's Pocahontas, or Batman Forever, and the infamous flop of Waterworld and the behind the scenes sneak peak to a big-budget upcoming film called Titanic.

The trial dominated the news, but there was always room for the other news bits.

The bloke was found not guilty by a court of law that society selected to follow, end of story. A 76 year old dying isn't sad, it's a decent innings.

Maybe, but I am so tired of the fake outrage of people who know nothing about what ever they claim to be outraged about.   30 years ago a famous man may or may not have killed his wife.   The whole case was shoved down our throats for over a year.  And "everyone" thought he was guilty except the jurors who heard all the evidence and lack of evidence.   It is the same for middle class white people being outraged for something in the news about someone not white.   It indicates a lack of actual interaction with others face to face in my opinion, zombies willing to emote over anything that is put in front of them by any media claiming to be news.

O.J.'s wife was murdered in June 1994 and his trial started a few months later.  O.K. city bombing happened in 1995 and we did hear about it, lies that a middle eastern man had been seen fleeing.  That happened the same day Richard Snell was executed, hmmm no one heard about that did they?   Maybe a clue to why a white supremicist bombed a federal building?  And Tiimothy McVie did not go to trial until 1997!

And OJ's trial was still going on, shoved down our throats.   There are so many questions about that, 1994 murder happened in June, before the end of the year a huge public trial, how did it get to court so fast?   No regular person gets to trial in a couple months, they sit in jail or live under strict rules for many months or years before there is a trial.  No wonder he was found innocent, they raced him through the system and I think it was a distraction.   Maybe if the D.A. had done due diligence the result would have been different.    Very suspicious to me, and we barely heard anything about Bosnia and Cechnya.

I know the case. White bronco and all. My personal issue is putting celebrities on pedestals. He's dead, nothing lost.

I'm perplexed why it's any national event, sports stars actors die and WH doesn't say a word why him?

The only reason this was mentioned by the WH is that a reporter asked about it. Obviously, in retrospect, it was so that whatever the answer, people could make it into a whine-fest.

I can run the scenarios through different right-wing headline generators

PS (press secretary) says: "Yeah, OJ was a murderer, burn in hell" - Woke KJP Bashes LAPD For "Mishandling" of Decades-Old Murder Investigation: Does Biden Hate Cops?

PS says nothing - White House Refuses To Comment on Rumors of Biden - OJ Simpson Connections: Did Biden Help Him With Crimes?

etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

Eh, I think Don was happy to get The Murder Juice onto his reality show, and tried to make it happen, but I wouldn't say buddies as far as I know.

Say what you like about OJ Simpson, but you must admit he got away with murder.

when you say "victims" then you are suggesting crime in this case are you suggesting he was guilty?

Only an idiot would stick to the claim that the man didn't practically BEHEAD his ex-wife for spending time with an innocent bystander working in a restaurant.  Of COURSE the evil b****** was guilty.  You know it, I know it, and the jurors who acquitted him, know it.  I just hope that the Goldmans can claw back some of his assets tosettle their claims against his evil ass...

Did somebody say "idiot"?

Well, I suppose you're right. Dershowitz can be a complete idiot. I'm so glad we can find things to agree on.

I think it was his son who did it and he was the accessory. He was still a prick though.

Considering her  the guy who dresses like a woman and stares at boobs's motor vehicle accident past I figured that's probably a bit over the top.

His son?  I've never heard that theory.

What would have been the motive for Jason to kill Nicole and Goldman?

They were friends, he was a guest at Trump and Marla’s wedding in 1993. But I don’t know how close they actually were beyond being golfing buddies.

It was one of the theories floating around during the time of the trial. I personally never bought it.

Relax don't get your dander up,

I haven't stuck to anything , I do not know if Goldman was 100% innocent, and don't know oj DD the deed I've considered it could have been his son,

I wasn't there I didn't watch the trial very closely.

The thing find weird is you are so quick with evidence at hand to say oj is 100% guilty yet with far more evidence against BOM you howl he's innocent of every crime he has committed yet you call others " idiot" very weird indeed.

What's even more disgusting is the fact his executor of his will has downplayed his networth, saying the Goldmans' will never see a penny.
