Brexiters welcome immigration shift from Europe to Africa and Asia

I must admit that this took me by surprise. The UK is now more welcoming to people from the East, Africa, and Asia than it is from people from Europe. I have never really understood why the majority of the English hate their own continent.

Greek tavernas, Italian coffee shops, Spanish beaches- the Brits have turned their backs on these so they can welcome their new African and Asian global partners.

Under the UK’s new immigration system, migrants from the European Union face more restrictive rules than those from the rest of the world. The effects on overall migration numbers may be limited, but the skills and sectoral mix of migrants may look substantially different.

The UK introduced a new immigration system on 1 January 2021, ending free movement of people between the UK and European Union (EU), as well as the wider European Economic Area (EEA). The new rules came into force at the same time as the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (Home Office, 2020).

It’s ironic the brexiteer movement started off anti immigration and has now become all about the immigrants it didn’t want

It made Farage, Rees Mogg, Ben Habib, Johnson, and others multimillionaires. Ben Habib is CEO of an Eastern European property company that made a killing through Brexit. They do not give one toss as to what happens to the UK.

Yes, it is ironic.

That's because we don't hate our own continent pellinore. Just because we don't want to be in a political union with 27 other countries, that doesn't automatically mean that we hate our own continent does it? 🤦

For the umpteenth time pellinore, Europe is a continental region consisting of around 50 countries, whilst the EU is a political institution consisting of just 27 of those European countries.

The European Union and the European Continent are two entirely different things altogether, so STOP interchanging them, because they are NOT the same thing at all. 🤦👇👇👇👇

Ireland is going to take a stand against the UK's "open door" policy.

Ireland has announced plans to send migrants who are sneaking into the country from Northern Ireland back to the UK.

The Irish Taoiseach Simon Harris has asked his Minister for Justice to bring a change in the law that would force asylum seekers coming in to The Republic to return to Britain, according to Irish news site RTÉ.ie.

The move reportedly came in response to comments made by Rishi Sunak earlier today insisted that migrants going into Ireland proves that his Flagship Rwanda plan is working as a 'deterrent'.

So Ireland is prepared to send them back to a country their own High Court has recently ruled is "unsafe" due to risks arising from potential onward transfer to Rwanda, and sending them back would be unlawful under EU law. I wonder how they are going to square that circle then. 🤔

Quote: "Ireland’s designation of the UK as a “safe third country” to which asylum seekers can be returned for processing is unlawful as a matter of EU law, the High Court has ruled."

Maybe refugees in Ireland could use the ECHR to avoid deportation to the UK on the grounds they are being sent to an unsafe country.!! 🤔👇👇👇👇
