I remember people legitimately questioning odd occurrences and strange happenings during Charlottesville,Summer of Love,Jan 6 and many calling it all conspiracy theories, lies, and partisan hackery...

Kind of wild,I remember the Charlottesville thread got closed and Jan 6 was moved to conspiracy... believe I may go back and have a look-see when i have time.

Now the faculty is camping out'

New York sees first US faculty-led Gaza protest encampment at the New School (msn.com)

The first faculty-led Gaza solidarity encampment protest in the US was established on Wednesday night at New York’s New School campus.

Nearly two dozen professors and lecturers at the New York City college pitched tents and unrolled sleeping bags in the lobby of an academic building located in Greenwich Village in Manhattan in support of their students, and against Israel’s attack on Gaza and their university’s financial ties to Israel.

Universities rescind commencement invitations to UN ambassador over Gaza conflict (msn.com)

Xavier University of Louisiana became the second school to rescind a commencement invitation to United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield because of student outcry over the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The move came days after the University of Vermont also canceled Thomas-Greenfield's commencement address.

Administrators at both universities cited pressure from students and the community over the Biden administration's support for Israel in its war with Hamas.

Just for the record, I'm not a white supremacist and I have no problem with the term Anglo-Saxon. I know what it means.

Cambridge University slammed after 'pandering to mad Americans' with journal name change (msn.com)

The University of Cambridge has been slammed for allegedly “pandering to mad Americans” after changing the name of its journal.

Britain’s prestigious university removed the term Anglo-Saxon from a world-leading medieval journal.

The University Press said it was “delighted” to reveal its Anglo-Saxon England journal which was renamed “Early Medieval England and its Neighbours”.

The term Anglo-Saxon has a very different meaning on the other side of the Atlantic, particularly after being appropriated by white-supremacist groups.

Full grown adults pandering to adult children...

These little morons need to start learning from actual history, they are well on their way to repeating it...

Maybe we'll get another age of enlightenment from their ashes...one can hope.

More likely, the funders are the Israeli government trying to discredit the pro-Palestinians.  And they're succeeding.

Doug

These people beg to differ. I can believe this because of the ease Hamas had in influencing the colleges. Not to mention the students.

Hillary Clinton slams anti-Israel protests on college campuses, says students have been fed propaganda

Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton tears into the pro-Palestinian protest movement that has swept across American colleges, calling them ignorant and lamenting that they’re being misinformed by propaganda on social media and in the classroom.

“I have had many conversations with a lot of young people over the last many months. They don’t know very much at all about the history of the Middle East or frankly about history in many areas of the world, including in our own country,” Clinton tells MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

'Are you a Zionist?' Checkpoints at UCLA encampment provoked fear, debate among Jews

Eilon Presman was about 100 feet from the UCLA Palestinian solidarity encampment when he heard the screams: “Zionist! Zionist!” The 20-year-old junior, who is Israeli, realized the activists were pointing at him.

“Human chain!” they cried. A line of protesters linked arms and marched toward him, Presman said, blocking him from accessing the heart of UCLA’s campus. Other activists, he said, unfurled kaffiyeh scarves to block his view of the camp.

“Every step back that I took, they took a step forward,” Presman said. "I was just forced to walk away.”

Jewish students say they wanted more from MCPS at antisemitism hearing (msn.com)

As Montgomery County school board president Karla Silvestre stepped away from a microphone Wednesday after being questioned by congressional lawmakers, a handful of Jewish students rushed to talk to her.

They told her how isolated they feel as Jewish students in Maryland’s largest school system, two of the students recalled in an interview. They recounted the hate incidents they have experienced since they have been enrolled in school.

“I asked her, ‘What are you doing to keep us safe? Really?’” said Kobie Talmoud, a junior at John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring. “She didn’t really respond. She was ushered out by her staff.” Talmoud said he was given her email to contact her later.

The hearing occurred during a high point of upheaval in the Montgomery school system. Its superintendent is an interim who has only served in the role for a few months. Several other school administrators charged with handling student issues are either in an acting or interim role. And a department that looks into employee complaints is undergoing reform after facing scrutiny on how the school system promoted a principal under investigation for sexual harassment.

Police clear pro-Palestinian encampment, arrest dozens at George Washington University (msn.com)

University of Pennsylvania 'Gaza Solidarity' encampment marks 2 weeks since establishment as campus tensions grow - 6abc Philadelphia

Shapiro tells University of Pennsylvania to 'disband the encampment' (msn.com)

As university protests surrounding the Israel-Gaza war carry on, Gov. Josh Shapiro complimented Pitt but condemned Penn — and called for the Ivy League university to “disband the encampment.”

Speaking in Hempfield Township outside Pittsburgh, the governor reminded university leaders of their obligation to keep students safe, but didn’t touch on their obligation to uphold free speech on campus.

“Every university has a responsibility — both a moral responsibility and a legal responsibility — to keep their students safe and free from discrimination,” Shapiro said. “I have reminded university presidents all across Pennsylvania of that legal and moral obligation."

The governor said some universities have handled it "quite effectively," such as the University of Pittsburgh. He didn't mince words for Penn, however, saying "quite franky, the situation is getting out of control."
