ORANGE COUNTY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SPCE) today announced the ‘Galactic 07’ flight window will open Saturday, June 8, 2024. This will be the Company’s second spaceflight this year and 12^th to date.

Virgin Galactic’s spaceship will again be converted into a suborbital science lab, with VSS Unity carrying an Axiom Space affiliated researcher astronaut who will conduct multiple human-tended experiments. In addition, Purdue University and UC Berkeley will have autonomous payloads on board, supported by NASA’s Flight Opportunities program. This mission showcases Virgin Galactic’s ability to provide a flexible microgravity research platform, benefiting further space exploration initiatives as well as innovations on Earth.

I can feel your glee as you posted that. It really plays into your irrational hatred of Virgin, but if they dug a grave for Virgin Galactic every time someone wrote an article like this they'd have tunnelled halfway to China by now.

Despite what it says in the article Virgin only has one real competitor, Blue Origin, and they have only just returned to flying passengers after two years down time because of an accident.

Is it possible that Virgin Galactic will go bankrupt, of course it is. Is it as likely as this article claims, probably not.

I can feel your adoration every time you post about them. I don't hate them; I feel they are inconsequential. Until a company reaches orbit, they're not a player, they're selling circus rides. The only reason Virgin is still around, is a tycoon is willing to prop them up with Virgin money. That's necessary, because their business model is not viable.
