What's the best way to tell whether or not a conspiracy theory is true ?

Recommended Posts

The best way to tell if a Conspiracy Theory is true if the media is calling it a Conspiracy Theory. If the media is making fun of something it’s true. If the media is censoring a topic it’s true. They only censor stuff that is true.

Since a lot of ct's are pushed by former intelligence ops it's hard to tell.their job is disinformation/misinformation,but they also like to put out truth sandwiches.

So if a ct is true they might steer the narrative in a different direction until it sounds absurd.

Hmm....this seems like exactly something somebody who was trying to discredit a theory would say....

Step one: reconsider your definition of "conspiracy" and work hard to distinguish that from the basic phenomenon of similarly-situated or like-minded people behaving in similar ways while motivated by similar things.  Pigs don't conspire to eat at a tough.  Once you grasp the distinction, you'll find that about 99% of the behavior described (invariably by the behavior's opponents) as conspiracy no longer fits the definition.  Of the remaining 1%, a Big-C will require an apparatus in which to work and beneficiaries, and people don't need to, or would be motivated to, conspire for benevolent purposes.

Usually it's if a politician tells you not to believe it or if a witness/whislte blower turns up like the Norwegian Blue.

12 people who are the primary sources of false claims about vaccinations

Interesting, because as it happens, one of those "conspiracy theories" seems to be true.  Doctors and morticians spoke out about this not long after they came out. Nobody listened. Doctors lost their licenses and/or were sanctioned ... over something that turns out to be true.

Why is it when you question something based on things you've experienced yourself (or have seen your friends or family experience) you are labelled a conspiracy theorist?   I honestly hate that term. Nobody can question anything without being denigrated.

The Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine is being withdrawn worldwide, months after the pharmaceutical giant admitted for the first time in court documents that it can cause a rare and dangerous side effect.

Unfortunately, too late for some. But when you start checking it out, it really isn't "very rare" but it is certainly dangerous. For anyone whose family died from these blood clots, ask them if they think it's rare or worth taking the risk for.  AstraZeneca says they removed it from the market "due to a “surplus of available updated vaccines” that target new variants of the virus" and if that's the case, why did they admit it can cause blood clots?

Muslim agenda

There is a Muslim agenda, according to some Imams.

https://www.memri.org/tv/canada-imam-kathrada-non-muslims-know-islam-will-rule-world

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39885745

https://www.thetower.org/5904-why-are-american-imams-saying-kill-the-jews/

All religions have an element of violent wars, but not all religions teach their children to kill other nations.  I think every religion has their extremist elements but I don't know if you call call the Muslim extremists harmless, not when the leaders themselves are propagating it. And no, not all Muslims are extremist.

We have two families here that I'm personal friends with. They don't seem to be extremists. They celebrate national holidays (like Christmas and Easter), as well as their own religious and cultural holidays.  Still, there is a worry about Islam when you consider how many countries have gone from having a mix of religious groups, to basically full Islam.  Muslim's are the majority in 49 countries.  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_world)

Is it really a conspiracy theory?

I suppose if there's a "best way" then nothing would be secret. As someone who likes true crime idk Theranos comes to mind. Unfortunately forget book title (Bad Blood?). I'd say dig (research) until you find something credible. Stuff in the article makes sense (Big Pharma, Big tobacco). Though no one knew ciggs or narcotics could be bad for you?

Those aren't CTs, though. Just facts.

Confirmed conspiracies tell stories about why a group of people acted as they did and what they hoped to gain. Dubious conspiracies involve a lot of accusations or just questions without examining what real benefit the conspiracy nets the conspirators, especially when factoring in the costs.

For instance, what purpose would NASA have to lie about the existence of Finland?

Finland is real?  :o

People believe what they want to believe no matter how much evidence is provided.
