The curious inscription was discovered quite by accident underneath a stone slab in a homeowner's garden patio.

@ouija ouija

I suspect, this engraving dates from the time when written "English" was evolving from Scouse into Runes.

Yep, poorly written hebrew was my first thought. Still legible and therefor fairly recent was my second.

And it requires two pints to cipher / OR cypher like how to spell a word three ways like cyPfer like Michele Pfeifer, now I'm just making bleep up. o_O : D

Gematria (/ɡəˈmeɪtriə/; Hebrew: גמטריא or gimatria גימטריה, plural גמטראות or גימטריות, gimatriot)[1] is the practice of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase by reading it as a number, or sometimes by using an alphanumerical cipher. The letters of the alphabets involved have standard numerical values, but a word can yield several values if a cipher is used.
