Shani Louk’s parents tell of ‘relief’ they can now bury their daughter

The parents of murdered hostage Shani Louk, whose body was found yesterday by IDF soldiers in Rafah seven months after she was abducted from the Nova Music Festival in southern Israel, told the New York Post of their relief now that they can bury their daughter.

Louk, a 23-year-old tattoo artist, became one of the most known hostages after footage of her partially exposed body being spat circulated on social media. Earlier this year, a freelance photographer controversially won an award for his photo of Louk in the back of a vehicle driven through Gaza.

Those that awarded him should be hanged.

With a photo of the execution, of course.

Why?

This is from a link in Kitten's post:

"....many of these photos allude to photographer's previous knowledge and possible involvement of the massive attack launched on Israeli soil - in order to get theshot of a lifetime."

The body of another hostage has been recovered:

IDF confirms: Body of hostage Ron Binyamin recovered from Gaza

The body of Ron Binyamin, 52, was recovered from Gaza by the IDF after being held there since his murder by Hamas on October 7, the IDF confirmed on Saturday. IDF spokesperson, R.-Adm. Daniel Hagari announced that Ron's body was recovered at the same time as the three other hostages' bodies rescued on Friday. "Based on verified intelligence in our possession, Ron Benjamin was murdered during the October 7th Massacre at the Mefalsim Intersection, and his body was abducted to Gaza by Hamas terrorists," Hagari said.

Hundreds attend funeral of Shani Louk, 22, whose body was held in Gaza since October 7

Hundreds of people attend the funeral for 22-year-old Shani Louk, whose body was recovered Friday in Gaza by Israeli commandos, seven months after she was killed by terrorists on October 7. Her father Nissim had called on the public to attend the funeral at Moshav Srigim-LiOn, south of Beit Shemesh, in central Israel.

Shani Louk became an icon of the Hamas massacre after a video, broadcast on October 7 and attributed to the terror group, showed her body on the back of a white pickup truck, her hair matted with blood. She was surrounded by gunmen and paraded through Gaza.

Hamas hostage Amit Buskila laid to rest in Kiryat Gat

Amit Buskila, whose body was recovered by Israel Defense Force soldiers in the Gaza Strip over the weekend after she was murdered during Hamas’s October 7 massacre, is laid to rest in Kiryat Gat.

Amit’s mother, Ilana Buskila, cries at the funeral, “I prayed for a different ending to the torment I’ve been through.” “I was lucky to have you for 28 years,” she says, adding, “You wrapped me in love, you were my inspiration… you entered the hearts of the people of Israel people. We will not give in… I will take care of flattening Gaza myself.”

IDF: Bodies of hostages recovered from Gaza last week were found in Hamas tunnel in Jabaliya

The bodies of the four Israeli hostages recovered from the Gaza Strip last week were found in a Hamas tunnel in the Jabaliya camp, the military announces. The IDF had not reached the tunnel during its initial ground operation in Jabaliya, which had served as a command center for the terror group amid the fighting.

The bodies of Ron Benjamin, Itzhak Gelerenter, Amit Buskila, and Shani Louk were found hidden inside the tunnel, and the area surrounding it was guarded by Hamas, according to the military. In an alley close to the tunnel shaft, terror operatives had planted a large explosive device, which was disarmed by troops.

'Post' takes a look inside Hamas's Jabalya tunnels that hid hostage bodies

Outside a ruined house in the Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza on Wednesday, Lt.-Col. Almog told a group of reporters: “The enemy placed explosives and prepared ambushes and waited for us. We found explosive devices and booby traps in each of the houses. But the 202nd Battalion has been fighting for eight months in Gaza; the weaponry and means of combat we found there weren’t any different. There was an enemy here – a stubborn one. They fought for this place – and died in it.”
