PC / Wokeism

The sentiment behind political correctness and wokeism is that all are equal, no matter how you look, what you believe in, who your parents are, and so forth. It's noble. All including. predjudice free. Unless you disagree.

I am in the middle of the political spectrum, and it pains me to see a divided world. We can do better. Be more flexible. Tolerant. Talk, not fight.

So stop pointing fingers. It's never acheived anything good to do that.

What are your thoughts about burying the hatchet? Can we move past this moral quarrel?

No.

I don't even consider myself "center" anymore...I consider myself an outsider anymore politically,as both sides have lost their minds.

I still run into a few real Democrats and Republicans and can share a logical conversation with either side.

But these loud screeching idiots on both sides...nah,I'm done speaking.

I hear you. I feel the same way sometimes. But giving up is not in my nature. My brain just finds new solutions. I am cursed with optimism,

I agree we should talk more and fight less.  I think we should strive to improve ourselves all the time in every avenue of our lives, and while I appreciate some of the sentiments, I am against political correctness, political speak, and wokeism.  We are who we are as a nation, we came from where we came from, but we have been improving over the years in so many ways.  To forget the past and attempt to wipe it out is to not remember one of the most important axioms of all time….those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

I can see the video and I'm in the US.

I personally think that the PC cult and Woke-theism have caused more problems than it's solved. The way I figure it most people never cared what another person did with their life, so long as they didn't bother others.

Politics ruined politics for me. Too many borderline psychotic individuals in it now.

It's not in my nature either, but when you speak to some, they just can't keep it together anymore...

Their political stand has become like a religious birthright to them and all of "Them!" are wrong, evil, treacherous, scum.

I keep the line open sometimes,or try to anyway.

I admire your courage to be dark and deep. For me that is too personal (most the time).

As a business owner in a tiny town, I always look for middle ground.

But staying out of political discussions period is the only way I find it.

Virtual signaling and extremism is what destroyed the social justice fight.

We Quakers were the first to do it and were good at it. But bad ideas from extremists ruined it even with us.

Good to see you again. It's been too long.

Yes absolutely. We need to focus less on opinions, and more on values. We all have the same values. We just forget that.
