Knesset to hold preliminary vote designating UNRWA a terror organization

The Knesset is set to hold a preliminary vote designating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization, by which it will then sever all ties with the body that is the main relief service provider for 5.9 Palestinian refugees in the Middle East.

“The purpose of this bill is to declare UNRWA as a terrorist organization for all intents and purposes as well as order the termination of the relations [and the cooperation] of the State of Israel with the agency, either directly or indirectly,” Israel Beytenu MK Yulia Malinovksy wrote in the introduction to the bill, which she authored.

EXCELLENT!  This is one war goal that can and should certainly be met and enforced in perpetuity.  The rest of the world can engage in their not-so-subtle Jew hatred by calling it "anti-Zionism", but they cannot be allowed by Israel's politicians to coerce the return of that OBVIOUSLY corrupt, evil entity that helped Hamas every step of the way in killing the citizens of Israel, primarily by indoctrinating innocent Palestinain children into a cult of death.

Knesset passes preliminary bill designating UNRWA terrorist organization

MK Yulia Malinovsky's bill to designate UNRWA a terrorist organization passed a preliminary reading with a 42-6 majority in the Knesset on Wednesday. The bill will abolish UNRWA employees' immunities and privileges.

If the bill passes a final reading, it will mean that the Anti-Terrorism Law will also apply to UNRWA. Israel will subsequently cease all ties with the agency, and the organization's assets in Israeli territory will be closed.

I hope it makes it through the process to become the law of the land.

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) has written a damning report of UNRWA describing it as "corrupt and unaccountable" and an enabler of terrorism. The FDD is a think tank and registered lobbying group, with a pro-Israel bias.

Another interesting report by the FDD: 'UNRWA Exposed'

Israel Land Authority orders UNRWA to evacuate Jerusalem premises within 30 days for lease violations

The Israel Land Authority has informed UNRWA that it must vacate its East Jerusalem premises in Ma’alot Dafna within 30 days, following the approval of a demand from Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf to evict the UN agency for Palestinian refugees from any state land it is currently occupying.

In a letter to UNRWA, the ILA writes that it owes them a sum of NIS 27,125,280 ($7,326,711.19) for operating on land belonging to Israel without consent for the last seven years. In addition, it instructs UNRWA that it is “required to immediately stop any illegal use, destroy everything you have built in violation of the law, vacate the land of any people or items and return it to the Authority within 30 days from the date of this letter.”
