I'll see b***** all then :D

I have no fear of death though - no more than I fear falling asleep.   The cause of death might be a different matter!

You have no fear of death?!

Very few humans can say it

Death is hardly the rosy picture this person paints.

The transition to death can be both frightening and painful. There are drugs, thankfully that can help ease some of that. As for those 'eyewitness reports of somewhere else' she claims are a privilege to receive, they are a consequence of things like cerebral hypoxia, delirium, and body system failures — none of which are a 'privilege' to witness, no matter what the dying person is experiencing or seeing.

Well I certainly hope to see my family at that moment, I would go in tears of joy.

Sorry man , i wasn't trying to change your religious beliefs , but when you mentioned nature and God , i couldn't resist. I have often wondered why nature is such a rather violent thing. I mean maybe there's something else we don't understand about it , but one can't help but notice.

It's called predation and I've experienced it myself.

yeah of course i wont be happy if there's pain involved up to my death but that's not being debated here.

being dead is what we're talking about & the thought of 'being dead' doesn't bother me

We who, I don't, I enjoy having an opportunity to live even if I had no choice and have lived it with much zest but have no intention of clinging to it.

No I don't, I never thought I would live to see 30 and yet here I still am. Have had plenty of chances in life as a lot of my work was high risk and my play times was no less so. I always thought living was the hard part and being dead is the easy bit.

What is there to be afraid of? Everything that has lived, is alive, and has yet to live has died, is dying and will die. Death is the most natural thing in the world. It’s the price we have to pay to experience the beauty and mysteries of existence. I’m completely at peace with it.

I already addressed that in my previous post,  and gave an explanation in my answer.

Agreed. I've watched three people pass away and it isn't a pleasant thing to watch. Only one seemed quick (massive heart attack) but you know the brain still fought for a few more seconds to survive. The other two were horrible, long and labored. I'm not scare of death, it's just one more pain I have to get through. I do hope it's quick though.

No, it isn't pleasant.  I'm not afraid of death, I'm not afraid of pain either.   It is just so...final...and I think a lot of people, maybe most, maybe all of us, can't really get our heads around the finality of the thing.  The last thing my father said to me was, I can't believe it...I just can't believe it.  There was no explanation...no questions of why from me.  I knew exactly what he meant.  He just couldn't believe it was all over.

We are all born today, we all die today.  I don't know how or when, all I know for sure is it will be today when I die.  Tomorrow never happens...It's all the same day...
