Professional thug leads 'football hooligan' march in London

Football hooligans and anti-lockdown protesters are among the 'thousands' of Tommy Robinson supporters who descended on central London today calling for the resignation of Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley.

Convicted stalker and thug Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, organised the protest under the auspices of calling for Sir Mark to quit for presiding over what he called London's 'two-tier policing' system.

Robinson said the event was about 'celebrating...our culture and values' while his Urban Scoop 'independent journalism' website said it would be a 'brilliant and peaceful pro British event'.

The video player is currently playing an ad. You can skip the ad in 5 sec with a mouse or keyboard

But a grinning Robinson led the procession carrying a banner bearing the face of Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the slogan: 'This is London, not Londonistan'.

Thanks. I knew he was a convicted felon, stalker, and embezzler, but I didn't know he had a page on Rationalwiki.

He is very popular with Brexiters in the UK- this is not being condescending, but because most Brexiters haven't had an education beyond the age of 15 years they don't understand some simple facts:

1. All countries need a workforce.

2. Developed countries (incl China) have an aging demographic - as time passes, they have more elderly non-productive people than productive workers.

3. The shortfall is made up of immigrants.

4.By closing the doors to Europeans, our industries in the UK including agriculture are having to accept immigrants from countries other than Europe, who often do not have a similar culture, religion, and often have a darker skin.

So, by indulging their xenophobia, they are creating the very situation that they dread the most. Brexit, even if we were able to reverse it in 10 years' time, has changed the UK forever- we will soon become a majority Muslim country with a majority population from our old Commonwealth.

Now, it may be Brexiters actually prefer Asians, Africans and Indians in the UK (after all, they fought on our side in WW2, while the Germans were enemies, the Italians turncoats, and the French undecided). Maybe that is what they want. But they keep marching and protesting as if it isn't what they want.

I don't know about Tommy but there is a 2 tier policing system. Migrants need to step in line, celebrate Britishness and stop slagging traditional British values or find a new country where they'll be happier. Simple.

The Tory Brexit govt has given them a new country they will be happier in: the UK!  1.2 million legal immigrants in 2022, 680 thousand legal immigrants in 2023. Before Brexit it was less than 2000 thousand per year.

Illegal immigration via the Channel has jumped from 320 to 50,000.

Vote the Tories out next month, simples!

More word soup I see.

How a demonstration on the performance and suitability of Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley can be conflated with "All countries need a workforce" looks desperate.

The EU's free movement of people was not an immigration policy but a dumpster fire.

As the EU have found out themselves as they now look to export immigrants for processing as we want to do.

And this morning the Labour party say they will look at processing immigrants outside the UK.

Labour also want to drop the voting age to 16.  Catch 'em while they're young, before their brains have fully developed. :tu:

I gave the laugh emoji as I was laughing at myself not you- I did rant on! But the facts are out there- immigration to the EU did not affect us while we were a member, it has only become a problem since we isolated ourselves from our own continent.

You just have to look at the numbers- legal immigration net 720,000 in 2022, 685,000 in 2023, probably about 600,00 in 2024. All down to our new points-based immigration system. Illegal immigration up from 320 (that is just 320 people, not 320k) to 45k per year.

I think Brexiters are simply mad if they can't see this. Do they think more Brexit will help? Every time we do more Brexit (like the import controls starting last month and due to continue to become more intense) it does more damage. Rees Mogg is right in a sense when he says we should ignore Brexit, but unfortunately WTO rules and international laws mean we can't ignore the consequences of what he supported. And we all have to live with the consequences.

We are simply not rich enough to afford Brexit- we can't build enough homes to house all the people it brings into the UK for one thing.

Yes.

Reform haven't. But they don't want to be in government - they just want to be a mouthpiece for the Right. They haven't any policies, they haven't enough candidates, they don't have the support of industry, and their honorary gobshite Farage is off to the US to support another loser.

But I always recommend people vote Reform as it is a wasted vote.

Oh dear. It's obviously catching up to you as well.

That's an American politician. We're talking about the UK here.

But yes, out of Labour or Conservative, Biden would probably back Tory. The US is well to the right of the UK on average.

Well yes, can't argue with that last bit, left wing ideology has infested all aspects of national and local government in this country and in particular the civil service and police force and is one reason the country is in the state it's in.

Nice try but it's the people, not your usual scapegoats, that are more left wing than the US.

The fact is the majority of the UK population just don't agree with you on most issues.

Well, they agreed with me on Brexit. 😆  And how do you think the vote would go if they were given a say on the issue of uncontrolled immigration for instance?

Plus of course 'the people' have voted for a conservative government over a Labour one approximately 2 to 1 over the last 75 years.  History it would seem is on my side, but then if you live in the Guardian/BBC bubble you probably would have a different perspective on reality from the average Brit.

Always so predictable 😄

Hmm. On an issue you struggle to even define and believe failed because the people who argued for it didn't actually believe it or didn't know what it meant etc.

Ah, the usual what would they say on a position which is espoused by no major political party.

The only way I think Brexit failed was in it's half arsed implementation by a largely bitter remainer tory govenment, we should have left the ECHR & traded on W.T.O. terms. However It was an absolute success in that we escaped from the juggernaut careering towards a federal europe &  forever overseen and ultimately for the benefit of the Bundestag.

"Ah, the usual what would they say on a position which is espoused by no major political party. "

Exactly, no political party, because none of them have got the balls to tackle the problem, but the people, not political parties, real people, what would they want done about it?
