I don't have a TV licence, but in any case have no interest in silly gameshows.  If I wish to elect someone to represent me in parliament I will do so based on their personal election statement and CV

Of course, since no candidates bother with such basic formalities.  I won't vote for anyone.  How can I?

Good for you, I very, very rarely watch TV myself as all the stuff I'm interested in is supplied via the internet. All our films and box sets are downloaded onto a USB stick. We only buy a licence because my wife watches soaps, but I don't mind paying for a licence as I support the BBC- I know this is a minority view on UM, but I think it delivers an excellent service (BBC Sounds for example).

Farage. Typical educated idiot, acting like he understands the working man.yes he can serve a purpose, but he's out to line his own pockets.

He attended Dulwich College (private school) and worked as a commodities trader. He is estimated to be worth over £3 million. This woman has got him summed up:

Thinking about it, I've no doubt you would have been happy if the Nazis had won, no pesky Brexit, you'd be speaking german, & we would already be living in a federal Europe run by the Germans, as it turned out they had to fall back on plan B, the one you're a big fan of. (p.s. dave is a moron)

p.p.s.

Yet another example of EU democracy in action :-

EU lawmakers push on with move to try and limit Hungary’s voting rights

Some European Union lawmakers have called on member states to punish the Hungarian leader Viktor Orban by moving closer to withdrawing his voting rights.

At least 120 of the European Parliament’s 705 members signed a letter sent to the parliament’s president, Roberta Metsola, on Friday calling for more pressure on Budapest.

“Hungary has been repeatedly criticised for its erosion of the Rule of Law, and especially after Hungary’s actions to disrupt the decision-making of the Member-States in the December EUCO, we believe that the time has come for the European Parliament to take action,” the letter read.

But apparently every EU country is sovereign .....right.

I think you misunderstand the comment. Dave was implying Fox, Farage and Yaxley-Lennon were fascists.

Yes, and he's a moron.

The communist playbook ....see video above.

Accusing someone they disagree with of being a fascist is a well established communist tactic used to try and discredit their opponents. (dave is a communist moron)

p.s.

Ironic that 'dave' would post that comment on the anniversary of D-Day, if Germany invaded tomorrow I'm pretty sure 'dave' & his mates would capitulate.

So the guy that threw rocks at Nigel Farage is a left wing trade union activist. What a shocker.... left wing politics in action.

Nigel does seem to bring out the worst in the great unwashed.

Current projections:

Oh God, I can barely look at that red column, its like some kind of horrific nightmare.

I dread to think the damage they are going to do before the Reform/Tory dispute resolves and they are on the same side again. Just remember people its not an endorsement of socialism, its right wing infighting splitting the vote.

We need a new anti-immigration left wing party to split the Labour vote too.

If you combine the left wing parties (Lab, Green), they're currently polling at 49%. The right wing ones (Tory, Reform) are at 36% (the remainder being centrist or single issue parties).

Seems there's more to it than splitting the vote. People are just ready for a change after a decade and a half of Tory government.

I don't think anyone, left or right is baffled as to why the right is about to be wiped out almost completely.

What an odd comment.

Correct we're not baffled at all, it's because to all intents and purposes, our 'conservative' government have for the last 5 years or so been putting in a performance worthy of a Labour goverment and in so doing have turned their core base against them. However, replacing them with a Labour government is not going to solve anything and ultimately will make most things a lot worse for the indigenous working population i.e. the tax payers. But I'm sure the anti Israeli section of their supporters will be well looked after, I've seen a video of Angela Rayner saying as much.

If that were true, why isn't that support shifting to Reform instead of to Labour?

Who says it isn't, the BBC?  We won't really know until election night, I suspect a lot won't vote at all.

The 'polls' only indicates voting intentions of the small group of people that are polled.. It doesn’t tell you who they are or indeed who they usually vote for.  You're assuming.

I'm extrapolating from the limited data available.

You're making things up based on nothing but a desperate hope you're not about to get annihilated in this election.

Let's chat after the election. I'm assuming if the polls are accurate and the right has lost significant support, you'll contritely admit that you were wrong and that your views are not in the majority.

Right?

If by 'the right' you mean conservatives (not my conservatives, I didn't vote for them) you're definitely onto something,  however if Reform out perform the tories the lib Dems & the greens then we're seeing something quite significant and a sea change in British politics, actually a bit like we've just seen in your beloved EU.
