Extremely poisonous toadfish lagocephalus terrorize beach in Greece

Extremely poisonous toadfish or lagocephalus have appeared on a beach in Crete, Greece spreading panic among beach-goers. A video posted on social media shows the fish swimming and almost coming out of the sea, despite the human presence.

The species is common in the tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific oceans. It is a recent migrant into the eastern Mediterranean Sea, which it reached through the Suez Canal, and it is spreading towards the western Mediterranean. It has been caught off the coasts of Israel, the south of Turkey, in Cyprus, the south coasts of mainland Greece, Crete, and Rhodes.

Just wait for all the Australians rock up and start sneering "Call that a poisonous fish?  Now THIS is a poisonous fish, mate!"
