Oh Pellinore, the left wing luvvies that run the TV meedya have been caught out with appalling dishonest behaviour.

Hopefully Reform do listen to the immigrants who are desperate to escape the EU, they travel through Italy, Spain and France and can see how bad the EU is. It is only the UK that represents a great country. Whether we met them in, personally it's a no unless they adopt our ways, else they'll create a country similar to the nonsense they loathe so much.

Back again.......Um well have the police arrested the " Reform activist" guy for a hate crime yet?  No, why not? I demand that he is arrested. The police are usually hot on this sort of thing.....strange huh.

Worse, don`t assume this guys vote share will go down, it might go up

Newton's Third Law is as accurate today as it ever was.  The reaction to the extremes of the global "Left" has been building for the last decade or so and it's beginning to make itself felt.

It's pretty mainstream for Reform. While I concede shooting asylum seekers as they land on the beaches would act as a deterrent, it would not be a good look for the UK and there would probably be an international backlash.

Ben Habib (dep chair of Reform) has a more realistic proposal- just stop them landing and let them drown offshore: Reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib says UK should ‘absolutely’ let migrants drown in the Channel | The Independent

The left just won a landslide victory with one of the biggest majorities in history in the UK.

In reaction to the extremes of the right over the last several years.

This is distorted.

Labours vote share was down over 10% on the rather unpopular Corbyn. Labour have a landslide victory not based on their own merit (which is somewhat lacking), but because its major opponent lost half its voters to Reform, Liberal Democrats, and independents.

Ah, based on merit, such a wonderful term. Starmer is already making his first mistake having vowed to fill his cabinet not with merit, but people from lesser backgrounds. He should have been going for the brightest and most highly qualified Labour MPs. Its results in the best ideas and the best decisions being made.

Anyway, the rosy picture of a socialist loving and wanting UK does not exist. The danger is Labour MPs will try to hi-jack the UK public as voting for it, when they haven`t. I predict a one term government as the Labour Party has two challenges facing it. The first, is that Reform will change the Tory party giving the UK public what they really want.

The second, and this is hugely significant, is Le Penn is about to get elected and has vowed to deport all non-native French from France. That means we will have several million immigrants knocking on our door. Starmer is the kind of leader who will let them all in, and that will be the end of him. If The Tories haven`t sorted themselves out I predict Farage will win the next election with Reform.

I can see a problem coming too in our relationship with the USA once Trump returns. He will too, support for Biden has collapsed. Even the Dems are trying to get rid of him, but he won`t go voluntarily. He`ll hang on until the end because once Trump gets in, its revenge time, and Biden is going to prison.

So pleased I waited to respond to this.

You weren't keeping up with the French election very closely were you?

Exit poll has Le Pen now in third, behind the left wing coalition in first and Macron's centrist coalition in second.

Two elections in a week where the rest of the electorate has worked together to keep/get the far right out of government!

Almost enough to restore faith in people
