Ghost sightings abound at Yosemite's haunted Ahwahnee Hotel

Hotels seem to be another common location for paranormal activity. Maybe all the different energies and vibrations of the people that have come, stayed and slept there accumulates??

Anyway, by now haunted locations have become not all that rare to me.

I don’t know how many readers have been to the Ahwahnee hotel, but wow….just wow.  I’ve been several times but never heard about the place being haunted, and never experienced a haunting - except that I am haunted by the image of my wife, after she and the other bridesmaids, and the bride got ripped on momosas all morning and jumped into the Ahwahnee pool with their dresses on!!!!  Lol.  True story.  I was sitting there with the owner of a ski resort in Colorado having a chat…his wife was also a bridesmaid..and I saw it coming…..I said….this is going to get real interesting real quick.  The grooms brother was talking some trash, in a good natured way you know…they were talking about jumping in the pool and he told my wife and the other ladies they didn’t have the balls to jump in dressed.  That was all it took lol.  They all went in one after the other, with my wife leading the parade.  Sigh.

Why would a hotel be any more haunted than anywhere else.?

Take the Stanley hotel (the shining hotel ) for example.

The story was steven king stayed there and experienced loads of paranormal activities in a certain room,and wrote the book the shining reflecting his experiences .

In reality he went to bed and had a weird dream about the hotel.and was inspired to write a horror story about it.

You didn't hear it was haunted or experienced anything because hauntings doesn't exist except when a business needs to try to generate a bit of traffic.

Because people use hotels and motels to commit suicide, I worked a motel as a teenager and we use to have one suicide a month. I think people choose those locations because they have privacy and also because they want to be easily found.

I've been to the Ahwahnee, and was strangely drawn to the Balcony overlooking the large dining room. Kept feeling like something was there. I Didn't see anyone, but I felt like something was there looking down at the people dining.
