Should the UK share the 4th of July with the US as Independence Day?

On the 4th of July 2024 the UK finally 'Got its Country Back' and gained independence from a lazy, mendacious and corrupt regime. Should Keir Starmer make it a Bank Holiday as our 'Independence Day'? I think it would get all-party support.

I think the United States would need to invade the UK if they also claimed July 4 as their Independance day!

A tongue in cheek post, I like it. 😉

Who doesn't like a bank holiday?

Being serious for a sec the cost is borne on the shoulders of business who pay holiday pay to staff and lose a days production, or the one man band who pays his own holiday pay if he decides to take a day off.

Strange how there is always another side to the story even when looking at trivia like this.
