pellinore Posted July 7 #1 Share Posted July 7 On the 4th of July 2024 the UK finally 'Got its Country Back' and gained independence from a lazy, mendacious and corrupt regime. Should Keir Starmer make it a Bank Holiday as our 'Independence Day'? I think it would get all-party support. 1

I think the United States would need to invade the UK if they also claimed July 4 as their Independance day! 1

Being serious for a sec the cost is borne on the shoulders of business who pay holiday pay to staff and lose a days production, or the one man band who pays his own holiday pay if he decides to take a day off. Strange how there is always another side to the story even when looking at trivia like this.
