So what ID can people get in the US that would meet the requirements and is free?

Because if you can't name them, she's right. It's tantamount to a poll tax.

A Social Security number.

Does that have a photo attached? Genuine question, I've no idea what ID is linked to your number.

We just brought in requiring photographic ID to vote in the UK (based on absolutely no evidence of voter fraud) but you can apply for a free voter ID if you don't already have an accepted form.

It is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections. What part of this statement don't you understand?

Who knew seeing a screenshot of the vote yesterday can be so triggering.

😂

Errors can happen, yes.  But what are the odds of the error occurring and then the person voting illegally?

Good question. I have no idea what those odds are.

Non-citizens can get a SSN if they're here for valid work reasons and also they can get a SSN in order to receive benefits if required by a state or federal law.

Just a short list of things that require an ID.

Buy Alcohol
Buy Cigarettes
Bank Account
Food Stamps
Apply for Welfare
Apply for Medicaid/Social Security
Apply for unemployment or a job
Rent/buy a house, apply for a mortgage
Drive/buy/rent a car
Travel by Air
Get Married
Purchase a Gun
Rent a hotel room
Apply for a license for hunting/fishing etc.
Buy a cell phone
Prescription medicine

Saying that requiring an ID is tantamount to a poll tax for voting is disingenuous. There is little anyone can do in the U.S. without some form of an ID.

You need an ID to register to vote.  Would you like people to mail in the Driver's License with their mail in ballot as well?

Wait until Americans find out about voting laws in Israel/Palestine. You know, that tiny country in the heart of the Middle East that "shares" values with the good ol USA.

You didn't answer the question. Do you understand it is illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections? This vote you seem so proud of will do nothing to prevent the voter fraud that is not happening.

Photo ID's need to be required.

There are laws against assassinating people but more needs done besides a law.

Weird fact- All the states with problems in the last election had voter ID laws.

Except that isn't true

In Arizona for example an alternative to photo ID was two documents from this list

  • Utility bill in the voter's name
  • Bank or credit union statement that is dated within 90 days of the date of the election
  • Valid Arizona vehicle registration
  • Arizona vehicle insurance card
  • Indian census card
  • Property tax statement
  • Recorder's certificate or voter registration card
  • Tribal enrollment card or other tribal ID
  • Valid U.S. federal, state, or local government-issued ID with a printed name and address or
  • Any mailing in the voter's name that is labeled "official election material"

That law was enacted in 2021.  But eh, details..

I guess more to the point- None of the states with problems had issues with voter verification.  All the claims were fake ballots and rigged voting machines,

That's funny cause here is a link to the AZ law as it was in 2019

https://law.justia.com/codes/arizona/2019/title-16/section-16-579/

It seems that AZ was allowing none photo ID as voter verification before 2020.
