Kenemet Posted July 12 #2 Share Posted July 12 With expectations for a more active hurricane season, we may see even more of this during the summer. Sadly (per Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengue_fever) more than one species of mosquito can carry the virus. It's a more manageable situation when there's just one species involved. On the bright side, it's not usually fatal, but like West Nile Virus, the ones most at risk will be the elderly and babies. That's the two populations that are also vulnerable to high temperatures. (sigh) Not shaping up to be a good summer, health wise.
