Blind soothsayer Baba Vanga's predictions for 2025 and beyond

Recommended Posts

I don't believe we'd make it to 5079 at this rate, though I agree that certain people should be sent to Venus.

"Of course, it's important to take these predictions with a pinch of salt - these are not foregone conclusions but the words of a single woman whose accuracy is questionable to say the least."

Ain't that the truth! Yet some folk, even in this day and age will actually believe the hogwash that comes from ye old soothsayers. rolleyes.gif

Why are prophesies always dark and dreary? Says a lot about the prophet and people's penchant for gloom.

Another chucklehead.

I disagree.

He was kind of a fraud like Scaliger proved, but he was no knucklebrain.

Again?  She's been dead for quite awhile, but keeps popping up with new prophecies.

Nice gig, if you can get it.

He sold Black Plague cures until they killed his wife and child.....

Like Cayce, they keep changing the prophecies and moving the goalposts.

Man, I'm not supporting his socalled predictions.

He lied, he fabricated, he stole texts from others, but he was no idiot like this Vanga woman.

That's ALL I wanted to say.

He was more clever than Cayce too. But you can be clever and not be smart.

He had an agenda, this Nostradamus.

He waa a Jew, fighting against anti-semites.

And there were lots around back then.

More so then. Napoleon freed them from the ghettos, closed them and told the Christian denominations to knock their **** off.

She must have been an inspiration for L.Ron Hubbard and all the books he 'wrote' after he was dead.

Getting energy from Venus is true if you change to getting energy from heat and pressure. Think about fusion. However, fusion is what happens in the sun so saying getting energy from the sun would maybe be more logical, but then you might think about solar panels, which is another thing.

We seem to be a species that needs some type of doom and gloom view of things.

Prophets and soothsayers and the like are first and foremost students of human nature and humans are ****s.

Baba Vanga's case is not an anomaly, imho.

Surdas was similarly an illiterate, blind man in India who lived in the fifteenth century A.D and who possessed precognitive abilities.

Born blind, he was neglected by an indifferent family and callous world around him.

From the age of fourteen, Surdas developed precognitive abilities that brought him fame and enabled him to be self-supporting.

Quote

By the age of fourteen, Surdas developed a keen sixth sense and could predict many things. People were amazed and he was called “miracle boy.” If a villager lost an animal, Surdas could tell him where to find it. He was consulted on the appropriate day to travel or to start any project. People from other villages travelled a long way to meet him and gave their offerings. One day, the landlord’s little toddler wandered off and could not be found. Surdas predicted where the boy was and the boy was found. The landlord was so pleased that he fell at Surdas’ feet and asked his men to build a cottage for him near the tree under which Surdas stayed.

Nothing in his history says he was a prophet and many of "his" devotional poems were written after he died.

He was not a prophet, just a person with pre-cognitive abilities. He did not introduce any new religious system as such.

Surdas was illiterate and did not write down the songs he created.  They were obviously written down by other literate people.

He dedicated himself to Krishna, but not all "prophets" start new religious systems. Some just start new wars.

Exploiting the gullible by pretending to have some sort of 'abilities' has never gone out of style. He is no different from people like Sai Baba or all the other fraudulent 'holy people' or 'avatars'. They dress the part, utter some esoteric stuff, perform sleight-of-hand tricks to get people to worship them and make a tidy profit from the retreats, books, seminars and whatever else they can peddle too.
