Getting energy from Venus is true if you change to getting energy from heat and pressure. Think about fusion. However, fusion is what happens in the sun so saying getting energy from the sun would maybe be more logical, but then you might think about solar panels, which is another thing.

Baba Vanga's case is not an anomaly, imho. 

 Surdas was similarly an illiterate, blind man in India who lived in the fifteenth century A.D and who possessed precognitive abilities.

Born blind, he was neglected by an indifferent family and callous world around him. 

From the age of fourteen, Surdas developed precognitive abilities that brought him fame and enabled him to be self-supporting.

He was not a prophet, just a person with pre-cognitive abilities. He did not introduce any new religious system as such.

Surdas was illiterate and did not write down the songs he created.  They were obviously written down by other literate people.

Exploiting the gullible by pretending to have some sort of 'abilities' has never gone out of style. He is no different from people like Sai Baba or all the other fraudulent 'holy people' or 'avatars'. They dress the part, utter some esoteric stuff, perform sleight-of-hand tricks to get people to worship them and make a tidy profit from the retreats, books, seminars and whatever else they can peddle too.
