This must be the Minnesota Iceman from the 1960 and early 1970's. He finally thawed.

I saw him in a Kansas strip mall in the 1970s. 😬

I think it is fascinating. Yes, I know it was a hoax, but still it is a one of the well known hoaxes of all times.

What it looked like? Was it frozen ln the box? Have you seen it's head? If I recall it correctly the story was that the first it was a real 'creature' in th box, but a some time later they changed it to the rubber doll and placed it in the box.

They showed it around the central USA like a some attraction. 

But, what was it really? Just a crazy hoax, or? Who knows, maybe it inspired Patterson Gimlin hoax somehow.

It was in a glass top freezer and definitely a hoax.

You could barely make out details in the ice though.
